A beautiful car in lovely overall condition.
Having covered only 84000 miles and been carefully looked after with a fully stamped service history this car is certainly well above average but not perfect and could be improved upon easily to make it superb.
The exterior bodywork and paint is in great shape, showing nothing more than a few small stone chips.
There is a small area where the chrome has lifted slightly on the front bumper.
The interior is pretty good too with the cream upholstery showing little wear in all areas except for the drivers bolster.
It's had a new headlining, this is in perfect order.
The plastic around the rear seat belt buckles is damaged. The seatbelts still work to comply with MOT regulations but as the rear seats are almost unusable in a XJS this has never been any sort of problem for me.
The carpets show only a small amount of wear.
The electric windows work as do the electric seats.
This is a Jaguar and it's almost 30 years old so any new owner should expect it to work like any older Jaguar does, it's beautiful to drive, beautiful to look at but occasionally things will need fixing!
During my ownership I've had to replace
front brake discs, pads and pipe.
trailing arm
trailing arm bushes
radius arm bushes
front wheel bearing
and also a little welding around the seat belt anchors and the end of a sill.
All the work has been done by trusted specialists.
I would welcome anybody who is interested to come and have a look to see that it's all been done to really high standards.
