Low Mileage. Immaculate Mercedes (A124) 320CE/E320 E Class Cabriolet Convertible.
I'm selling my pride and joy that has had been cherished and cared for throughout it's life.
The car is in gleaming Sand Silver with a Brazil (Chocolate Brown) leather interior and has covered approx 76. 00miles (123. 00km but will increase slightly ) from new. From the history that is present with the car it transpires that the car is a 1993 model year car that was first registered in 1995. This model was hand built and documentation and invoices with the car shows it commanded a list price of approx £68. 00. 00 when new. A true 4-seater convertible that is exceptional to drive. very relaxing and very quiet. At a standstill you can hardly hear the engine and when the hood is raised the car is as cosseting as any saloon making the car ideal transport throughout the year.

The car comes with the following equipment and specifications;
3200cc straight six-24v engine.
4speed Automatic Gearbox.
ABS.
Pristine Electric Hood.
Original 8-hole Mercedes alloy wheels.
Sports Chassis.
Leather Interior.
Pop up roll bar/ rear headrests.
Ice cold Air conditioning.
Electric Windows front and rear.
Electric Front Seats.
Infrared remote central locking.
Factory fit alarm and immobiliser.
Drivers Airbag.
Wind deflector.
Sony CD head unit.
Three sets of keys.

Mercedes model number 124. 066.
Power - 220ps/217bhp.
Torque – 310Nm/229lb-ft.
0-60mph 7. 8 secs.
Maximum speed 146mph+.
The car has had four owners from new including myself. The first registered keeper in Hong Kong kept the car until 2000 and the second until 2007 when the third owner imported the vehicle from Hong Kong. I have the history for the car including Mercedes Main Dealer. Mercedes Specialist service history and all HM Customs and shipping documentation.
I purchased the car from Charles Ironside classic Mercedes in April 2008. During my ownership the vehicle has been maintained regardless of cost by North Wales Mercedes Benz in order to preserve and improve it's excellent condition. Any interior or upholstery maintenance has been carried out by Dclass in Chobham. Surrey. Both garages inform me that this is an exceptional E class convertible with zero rust.
Since owning the vehicle the car has been treated to regular maintenance and upgrades. As well as the usual wear and tear items and servicing the following work has also been carried out. Everything works on the car including the seat belt butlers.
Cylinder Head Gasket replaced (to cure a slight oil weep at the rear of the engine soon after original purchase).
All four wheels refurbished soon after purchase.
Auto Transmission rebuilt (to maintain originality).
Drivers and Passenger window motors replaced.
Seat belt butlers repaired and motors replaced.
Front (Upgraded) and rear brakes replaced.
New Heater Valve and Air conditioning condenser.
Problematic w124 model under bonnet wiring loom and fuse box replaced/upgraded.
The rocker cover in the engine compartment was painted after the Head gasket work and this could better in my opinion.
Central Locking vacuum pump replaced.
Leather Upholstery fed when necessary.
Door and roof seals replaced. (A new front screen and front door roof seal will come with the car but it is not needed at present- this in itself is nearly £400 from Mercedes Benz).
All in all I have spent over £10000. 00 maintaining and improving the car to the standard you can see in the photographs. The car is currently in limited use. is taxed until the end of November and has been fully valeted for the new owner.
The MOT is due in October 2014.
If I were being highly critical of the car I would highlight the following;
One the four Bridgestone tyres has a different pattern and slightly more worn than the rest.
There is a small stone chip on the near side rear panel that has not broken through the paint. a couple of small paint lacquer chips on the edge of each door.
The near side dashboard speaker trim is slightly discoloured. The electric headrest buttons are with the car but loose.
The Speedometer and Mileage is in Km with corresponding highlighted MPH indicators.
The rocker cover in the engine compartment was painted after the Head gasket work and this could be better in my opinion.
This really is an exceptional example of a quality motorcar. Any viewing is recommended and will verify and confirm the condition of the vehicle. To enable a quick sale. the guide price for this car in this condition starts at £12000. 00 (September issue of ClassicCars). I'm willing to let the car go for much less than this. The car can be viewed in Surrey from 26th November.
The car is advertised elsewhere so it may be removed at any time.
Please do not bid if you do not want to buy. Anyone with a feedback rating of less than 10 please contact me before bidding. A £500. non refundable deposit will need to paid by Paypal within 24hrs of auction end. with the remainder due on collection of vehicle. If this does not happen then the car will be offered to the next highest bidder. The Car will be sold as seen. this is a private sale.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
