I have owned this G Wagon for around ten years and most of that time it was in storage waiting for a little TLC. When we hit first lockdown I realised I then had the time to complete it and here it is. The odometer shows around 39000 miles but due to the age of the car its fair to say that it would be more like 139000, having said that the car drives very well for what it is although please dont expect modern SUV comfort or refinement, its not the quickest or quietest car on the road but I believe it will get you wherever you want to go.During my ownership I have replaced both lower rear quarter panels due to some corrosion with genuine Mercedes panels, the rear door / tailgate has been replaced by a very good second hand one with no corrosion. The body has been removed from the chassis to inspect and address any further corrosion, the body and chassis were found to be in excellent condition with only a small amount of welding carried out to the body, the front to rear brake pipes were replaced at this time.The six cylinder engine runs very well and starts first turn of the key, it benefits from brand new injectors, new spark plugs and HT leads, new distributor cap and rotor arm etc.The interior boasts heated front Recarro seats with unmarked and very presentable check cloth trim, all door cards and headliner are in excellent condition, there are two keys with all new locks and exterior door handles, sadly the service history has been misplaced by the previous owner but I do have quite a few invoices for new parts that I have fitted.Any questions please ask, thanks for looking.
