1966 Galaxie 500 convertible 390, special order RHD UK 3 owner car from new RARE

You are looking at my 1966 Galaxie 500 convertible 390 Cruise o matic, this is a very special car having been imported as a brand new car from Canada in 1966. Right hand drive special order white with black interior and top.The story of this car is the first owner owned a business that specialised in removing the protective wax coating from imported cars, one day a Galaxie came through and the guy liked it so much he special ordered his own (this car) in white with black interior and right hand drive. Cheap insurance on this car as it isn't classed as imported He then drove this car daily until 1984, the second owner lived on the same road as the first owner and passed it daily on the way to school. After a chance meeting and a “if you ever sell call me” number exchange he contacted him a decade later and the car changed owners.The second owner stripped and bare metal restored the car and then dry stored it, having covered little more than 1000 miles in 37 years. The car is showing 92000 genuine documented miles. I have extensive history with the car and photos of the restoration. The car is matching numbers and the engine and transmission have been rebuilt and seen little use. The roof has been replaced with a new item I bought the car in January of this year and have performed a full recommission job on it, it has had the following in my ownership to bring it up to speed and make the car real world usable 1. Full engine detail with new water pump, front cover seals, Holley street avenger carb conversion, new belts, full service, pertronix flame thrower coil and ignition system, 18” electric fan conversion with override and electiric coolant circulator pump to prevent heat soak, edelbrock chrome goodies, uprated breather system, brand new battery, rebuilt starter and alternator, genuine fomoco wash bag and edelbrock fuel pump2. Brand new front brakes complete, new hoses, machined rear drums and new internals. System fully bled with new fluid 3. Brand new shocks and springs all round4. Brand new fuel tank and sender, lines replaced 5. Brand new 7x16 American racing torque thrust D wheels with torque thrust 2 centres and uniroyal tyres 6. Lighting system updated to H4 up front with LED rear internals and brake flasher unit at rear. Chrome headlight covers for that Latino look 7. Full Audison stereo system with top of the range alpine bluetooth head unit, audison voce 6.5 components up front, Audison voce 6.5 coaxial rear speakers running off a genesis 4 channel sound quality amplifier, the sound is crystal clear and is backed up by an Audison 10” active subwoofer. I have built this into a custom enclosure under the hood so the boot space isn't affected 8. Custom stainless full power flow twin box exhaust system built with X pipe, this is a work of art and fully TIG welded. Cost me £1700 two months ago The interior is completely original apart from the front lower seat base has had the centres replaced due to splitting. This has been done in a matching pattern cloth, you don't notice unless it's pointed out and it's much nicer to sit on the vinyl. The outer parts were salvaged and reused and it has been re sprung and the foam replaced. Carpets have been re dyed black. The rest just needed a clean, back seats have hardly been sat in.This was built as a demonstrator for my business and has been shown at many places over the summer with an invite to display at the good wood revival this weekend.
