The beautiful exterior of this RS Sapphire Cosworth is impeccable finished in original Ford Moonstone Blue. The paintwork has a pure gloss shine and boasts a remarkable spotless finish. There is no rust or corrosion whatsoever and all panels are original. straight and damage free. All exterior trim. glass and lights remain in excellent order. as have the manufacturer correct badges and decals. The engine bay is spotlessly clean and still has all the correct engine and chassis identification numbers confirming this to be a true genuine RS Cosworth example. As per the rest of the car. the underside is clean and painstakingly detailed. Very special.

INTERIOR
The factory standard interior of this truly special example surrounds the driver exactly as Ford intended. Trimmed in the original attractive Halley and Angora fabric the supportive Recaro seats are flawless. The dashboard is completely free from any cracks and all incorporated switches and functions are intact and operate as they should. The three spoke leather trimmed sports steering wheel is perfect. but the leather gear knob is showing light signs of wear. The standard electronic sound system with power amplifier remains fully operational. RS Owners Club carpet mats are fitted protecting the shark grey carpeting. A fantastic RS interior. the ultimate combination of sporting prowess and sublime luxury.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the standard 1993cc Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) engine with the Garrett AiResearch T. 03B turbocharger and intercooler. the racing pedigree of this car is truly evident. The history file accompanying this cherished example catalogues an incredible program of mechanical restoration refurbishing many parts and replacing components to improve reliability. Final mapping was entrusted by renown Norris Motorsport in July this year with accompanying invoice. Expect a minor improvement on the 204bhp and 276Mkp/Nm torque quoted enabling the published performance figures of 0-60mph in 6. 1 seconds and a top speed of 150mph feasible. A few replacement components such as the Bailey satin black coolant and PAS tanks have been fitted but in all cases the originals are included. The five speed manual gearbox is smooth and precise and benefits from a recent AP clutch kit.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted 15 X 7 RS Sierra Cosworth ‘Lattice Style' alloy wheels are simply immaculate with no scuffs or kerbing damage whatsoever. and are shod in new quality Toyo TR-1 Proxes 205/50 R15 tyres all round. Genuine RS accessory locking wheel nut kit is also present. Diagonally split hydraulic. anti-lock braking assisted with new brake disks and pads fitted and Goodridge braided brake hoses all round are awesome.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 20th April 1989 with just six former keepers this example was purchased by the previous owner in February 2010 after an exhaustive search viewing many poorly restored cars. Eventually deciding to embark on a personal build to meet his exacting standards this immaculate example leaves nothing to the imagination. A photographic file containing 97 photos will amaze the next owner and help them to truly appreciate the labour of love poured into this creation. the attention to detail and sheer cost.
