EXTERIOR
The beautiful exterior of this RS Sapphire Cosworth remains wonderfully factory standard in every respect and is finished in original Ford Diamond White (code B3). The paintwork boasts a pure gloss shine and retains a remarkable spotless finish. The car has no rust or corrosion whatsoever. and all panels are straight and have excellent uniform gaps all round. All exterior trim. glass and lights remain in excellent order. as have the manufacturer correct badges and decals. There is a very minor crack to each end of the thin running strip that tops the front bumper. The engine bay is incredibly clean. and boasts all the correct engine and chassis identification numbers confirming this to be a true genuine RS Cosworth example. As per the rest of the car. the underside is clean and beautifully detailed. A stunning preserved example remaining just as Ford intended. superb.

INTERIOR
The factory standard theme of this truly special example certainly continues once inside the cockpit. Trimmed in the original Ford Raven Leather (code 6R). the seats are in remarkably clean and wear free condition. with only slight crazing to the leather hide on the front Recaro sports seats. The dashboard is completely free from any cracks and all incorporated switches and functions are intact and operate as they should. The three spoke leather trimmed sports steering wheel is perfect. but the leather gaiter around the gear shifter is showing light signs of wear. The standard electronic sound system (model 2007) with power amplifier and optional CD player remains in the car but is not working correctly. A fantastic RS interior. the ultimate combination of sporting prowess and sublime luxury.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original RS Cosworth powerplant fitted to the third generation Sierra Cosworth in 4WD Sapphire form is simply awesome. having been designed in essence to make Ford competitive in the World Rally Championship. Fitted with the standard 1993cc Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) with the Garrett AiResearch T. 03B turbocharger and intercooler. the racing pedigree of this car is truly evident. With an impressive output of 220HP. the car accelerates smoothly through 0-60 in 6. 6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150mph. The history file accompanying this cherished example catalogues an incredible program of mechanical restoration and maintenance by renowned specialists Graham Goode of Leicestershire. with invoices in the last three years totalling £14305. 80.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted 15 X 7 inch RS Sierra Cosworth ‘Lattice Style' alloy wheels are simply immaculate with no scuffs or kerbing damage whatsoever. and are shod in quality Uniroyal Rainsport 205/50R15 tyres all round. with masses of tread remaining. The only imperfection to speak of being that the paint has rubbed slightly thin on just one of the wheel centre caps. Diagonally split hydraulic. anti-lock braking assisted 278mm ventilated discs up front and 273mm discs at the rear bring the car to a sure and steady halt.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied by Ford Main Dealers Brooklyn Garages of Redditch and registered new on 15th October 1990. this example has had just three owners. The previous owner. a Mr Steven King purchased the car from its second long term owner in January 2007 and has since embarked upon a fastidious quest to bring an already brilliant car back to factory fresh condition. The documented receipts and specialist maintenance invoices throughout his ownership total a staggering £16. 37. 02 and give just a hint of the pleasure in store for anyone lucky enough to drive this fantastic machine.
