NO RESERVE AUCTION. This is a Clean, Rust free, 1986 Mustang GT Convertible California car with 38,000 original miles originally sold at Jim Click Ford in Southern California. It was off of the road for 20 years where it had been stored in a temperature controlled environment on a California non op. When the car was recommissioned and brought back to life out of storage for road use it had to have several items addressed. The car did not run and the brakes did not function very well. The complete fuel system was replaced including fuel tank, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, fuel filter and all related parts. The brake master cylinder was replaced with a Ford unit and brakes properly serviced and bled. The tires though not cracked or damaged are older but are still able to be used but may need replaced if you plan on taking it on longer trips. I also replaced the valve cover gaskets, upper plenum gasket, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor all with OEM parts. The rear quarter windows have been repaired and rebuilt with new motors and mechanisms. The convertible top hydraulic lines have been replaced and new fluid in the pump. The convertible top is in great serviceable condition. The A/C still has the R12 Freon in it and worked great when I added a couple of cans of refrigerant to it but has since stopped blowing cold. I'm guessing it has a leak that needs addressed and then converted to R134. Other than the AC needing fixed there's not a thing wrong with the car. All the power options work as they should and the interior and exterior are both in excellent condition. I have over 170 pictures of the car, including pictures of the underneath of the car if you'd like to view them. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer, cleaner GT Convertible that has not been molested. Yes, the GT hood stripe is missing but not as a result of an accident. It was ordered this way when new and the Marti Report reflects that. I will help in any way possible to assist in shipping the car to its new owner but all shipping expenses are the responsibility of the new buyer. I do not use PayPal so the deposit on the car will have to be a bank to bank wire transfer or cash app transaction. Winning bidder must contact me immediately after the auction closes and A non refundable $500 Deposit is due within 24 hours of auction close and remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction ending and before the car will be released or shipped to the new owner. Car is sold as is and with no warranty or guarantee.
