I'll start by saying that I have lost the history that I had with this car.  It consisted of lots of previous MOT certificates and invoices from garages for some years worth of parts, repairs and servicing.  That said, it didn't have the original service record, bill of sale or any of the really important paperwork you would be looking for in a concourse purchase.  But then I'm not looking for concourse money.his This is an honest 40 year old car that I have owned for 8 years and used regularly during every summer of my ownership covering between 500 and 2000 miles each year.  It is reliable, fast and looks pretty great.In my ownership I have done little more than fill it with fuel, check and top up the fluids and polish it.  I did spend some hours when i bought the car doing DIY refurb of the seats and interior and in my opinion it came up really well and looks as good now as it did then.  I have had some professional panel repairs on the inside of the front wings behind the light units and the same outfit did some paintwork in this area.  Each summer I made a point of having the car to a classic car specilaist for service and any remedial works or essential repairs and so it is in good mechanical order. The suspension is typical 107, a bit on the soft side but manageable, the steering is positive, the brakes are excellent and it pulls like a train with smooth changes.  The engine is leaking a small amount of oil, so it will spoil a new drive if parked over night.  The paintwork in general is really good, and this testifies to the standard of the panels as I have had no other bodywork issues during my ownership.  The mileage is showing 37,000 but this is not accurate. The hood is in good shape apart from a couple of small rips where the under frame rubs when it is stored.  It works fine and does a good job if you want to drive it with the soft top up.  I also have the original hard top which is in good condition.If you are looking for an unmolested, reliable, useable V8 SL, this might be worth a bid.
