This car has an interesting and rare unusual history. During the war Rover cars were put to the war effort but the factory was destroyed in a bombing raid. In 1947 rover had stored a number of parts and using those parts were able to produce 200 cars with the bodies being made of aluminium at AP Panelcraft of Coventry. The design mirroring the pre war P TYPE. This car is number 183.  This car was registered in early 48 by the garage that sold it to its first owner. At some point around 1950, it was put into storage for 50 years and was acquired and mechanically restored over a long period. Having lovingly restored it, the owner had to sell due to personal reasons and the current owner is selling it due to a back injury. The car is in very good order and runs very well  indeed with proper oil pressures for hot and cold. The engine was rebored with new pistons, the radiator was new and the chrome radiator cowl was replaced. It was given a new petrol tank. The springs look new and so do the suspension shackles as well as other parts.The body work is fair and the interior could be upgraded but is original.
