This is a very clean, well-maintained 300TD that will make someone an excellent daily driver. It is ready to drive from its current location to anywhere you choose. The 5 cylinder diesel engine shows excellent compression numbers (all cylinders between 375-395) allowing for smooth, quick starting. The factory rebuilt transmission shifts smoothly and reliably. The suspension and steering are tight and maintained, the rear self-leveling suspension functions perfectly. Hoses and belts are very new, fluids have all been serviced, tires have 95%+ tread.

There has been a recent full repainting of the exterior, and it shows extremely well. The seats are in excellent shape with no tears or abrasions. The carpet is original and presentable, with no tears. It does show its age but overall looks quite good. There is what appears to be a burn ring in the cargo area carpet. The headliner has no tears and the dash is nearly flawless, with only very minor cracking.

The floor had rust which was professionally replaced using correct floor panels. The firewall under the battery tray has a small rust hole that was treated several years ago with rust encapsulating paint and has not progressed. It has been filled and no water gets in during heavy rain or washing. The inner fender skirt underneath the battery tray has rust that has welded sheet metal patches. Finally, the outer corners of the inner front doors have a small rust spot that has been sealed with rust encapsulating paint (that matches the body color) and has not progressed in several years.

Overall, the car is very sharp and is a great driver. The shifting issues that can plague the 1982 and 1983 model years are a non-issue given the factory rebuild of the transmission. Bid with confidence that this car will look great in your driveway and get compliments everywhere you go.
