New consignment available at The Bad Anvil Garage! The Bad Anvil has a great history of selling cars for our clients. Happy buyers and sellers has been our goal and has always been the result. Bid with confidence!  Per the owner:"RED HOT 1967 Camaro RS Convertible with a four speed manual (Muncie) transmission and GM 350 crate engine! This beautiful first generation Camaro was on my bucket list for years. We bought it, my sons and I poured TLC and sweat equity into it, and while I never thought I would let it go, life happens, which means it's time for it to make your dream of owning a first gen come true.It is a true Rally Sport (RS). It was originally one of the 104 Indy 500 Pace Cars made in 1967 (as indicated by the ‘061A' on the cowl tag). A previous owner replaced the original 327 and 2-speed power glide with the ZZ3 GM 350 crate engine with aluminum heads and 1 3/4" Hedman long tube headers and the Muncie 4-speed. The car was painted red and converted the interior to the deluxe black interior setup. Other mechanical systems include power brakes, power steering, Dana 60 rear axle with 3.51:1 gear ratio, and drum brakes all around. Windows, locks, and the convertible top are all manual (the original power top motor is still in place but was disconnected by a previous owner and is assumed to be nonoperational). The car does not have air conditioning. There is a new RetroSound Bluetooth stereo with wireless mic for hands-free calling, a new powered under seat 8" sub, new speakers in the kick panels (the kick panels are also new) and new 6x9 speakers in the rear. There is also a 4 channel amp powering the speakers. You will mostly love cruising to the sound of that 350 growling through the dual exhaust (complete with cherry bombs) but if you want to cruise to some tunes, this sound system will not disappoint you. Mechanically it is very sound. Recent replacements (paperwork is available) are a new starter, alternator and wiring for both, fuel pump, battery, heater core, front and rear springs, steering components (sway bar, bushings, pitman arm, idler arm), wheel bearings, subframe body bushings, console aux gauges, intake manifold and valve cover gaskets, spark plugs and wires, rear axle bearings and diff fluid, parking brakes and cable, front rotors and pads, alignment, window cranks and glides were cleaned and lubed. All electrical components work, including the very cool retractable headlamps, wipers and wiper fluid work (I never had it in the rain but they do work and the rubber was just replaced), all exterior and interior lights work except the driver's side cabin light. There are no major leaks though it will occasionally let out a small drip of oil (standard on Chevy). All four vibration dampers (cocktail shakers) are still in the car, along with a spare tire (no jack) in the trunk. The car rides arrow straight and has no slop in the steering wheel. There is one quarter-sized spot where the paint is slightly bubbled on the driver's side rear quarter though this hasn't changed appearance since I got the car. A previous owner put rustproofing on the undercarriage so I can't say what it looked like before. There are a few other minor paint imperfections here and there and a previous owner did some touch up paint that wasn't the greatest but in general you have to look closely to see that stuff. The majority of chrome is in good shape and pit free except for some pitting around the vent window chrome and the chrome where the top attaches to the window frame. The passenger side vent window gasket is original and cracking but does not leak (I have a set of replacement gaskets that will come with the car). The interior is in very good shape, with new carpet and floor mats as well as additional mass-backing and soundproofing.  This is a really nice, Hagerty condition 3 (maybe slightly better) car that is not numbers matching but also not a trailer queen so you can feel free to drive it whenever the mood strikes you (it will be often) without guilt. The car is an absolute solid cruiser. I've taken it out for a three hour road rally (not a race) drive in the heat of summer with no issues and it will start right up from a cold start. It always draws a crowd wherever we go which is the appeal of these old beauties. I've done my research and have it price it competitively. Open to answering questions, just ask."  Video: (copy/paste link into YouTube) https://youtu.be/z31sK7x3vdY  Vehicle is sold 'as-is' no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied.
