1966 Ford Bronco U13 Roadster 6 cyl 170 cu in engine. Clear California Title, in my name.

Built September of 1965, Budd Body Roadster.  California Bronco with Thermactor Emissions.

VIN U13FL746105

Color = M, Model = U130, Body = 796, Trans = C, Axle = 03, DSO = 72, Rear Axle = WEM-A gear ratio 4.11 Rebuilt transfer case. Engine =  C6DE-A Date 5-H, Carb Tag C6TF-9510-G date 5GD

This Bronco was originally purchased in Northern California. It is an original Budd Body Roadster in Wimbledon White. It came from the factory with two bucket seats, and a bulkhead and no rear seat, no top, and no doors. The body has all of the screw holes for the fiberglass inserts.  Has original and correct eyebrow grill, and early tailgate.   It was rolled, and damaged the front clip, windshield frame and the roll bar crushed the rear wheel wells. Then it sat in a shady California field for 30+ years.

This Bronco runs, drives, stops, and steers.  The floors, rockers, door posts, bed, quarters,tailgate and cowl are rust free.  The seat risers and under body are very nice. The frame has zero rust.  The uncut rear quarters are rust free.  It still has it's original Ford Logo muffler and gas tank heat shield intact.  Speedo shows 54,895 miles.

I have replaced all of the damaged metal, replaced the gas tank, scraped out a ton of mouse droppings, changed the oil, and it started right up. I have video of the engine running on 7/9/21. Brakes are functional, but it needs new shoes.  Brake drums are all good and not frozen.

Front Dana 30 was inspected, and looks great.  Has a set of Mile Marker hubs on it.  Also has a brand new set of Firestone inner Tubes to keep it rolling.  Column shift 3 speed works as it should.  Transmission was inspected, and gear oil replaced.  Has lots of original stuff, very nice oil bath air cleaner, original carburetor, engine, transmission, thermactor system, etc.

Needs:

Body work.  Assume that every body panel has a ding or dent in it somewhere.  Seats are complete, original, and intact…but shot.   Dash is complete, including factory rain shield for the speaker.  Needs a hood.  Needs a front driveshaft.  Original wiring is mostly intact, and seems pretty good. Smog pump is disconnected.  Distributor vacuum advance is broken.   Most of the Bronco specific stuff is still there.

This is a PROJECT, and needs someone to restore it.  But it is very rare, and comes with many special 1966 parts.  Rear view mirror, etc.  I'm sure that I forgot plenty…so ask questions.

This is a great foundation for a Bronco, and it needs someone to give it the attention it deserves. It is a good project.  Obviously,it won't run for very long without a radiator in it.  Delivery is available if you are local to Fremont,CA 94536.  Check my feedback and bid with confidence.  This Bronco is for sale locally, but I won't end the auction before contacting the high bidder.  So it pays to bid early.

Engine date casting code 5F18, (June 18, 1965) Assembly code 5H.(August, 1965)
