I have a 1981 Porsche 911SC Targa with 133K on the odometer. The odometer is not currently working but the mileage is very close to being accurate. according to the previous owner. This car is equipped with the 3. 0L 6 cylinder motor paired with the 5 speed manual transmission. It has been repainted several years ago professionally and looks really nice. It is a Wine/Burgandy Red with Black leather interior.
This car is a clean Carfax car. Although. Carfax reports on a vehicle in the early 80's may not be as accurate as you would want. I can provide a Carfax to seriously interested parties.
Cosmetically it is overall in good condition. Solid body with no rust except for the typical minor rust on the battery tray up front. Minor clear coat peel on the spoiler and a small area that has been fixed around the front windshield (not rust).  I suggest replacing the seals for the Targa top if you plan to drive it in the rain.  The interior is in fair condition. Currently has seat covers covering up the front seats. The drivers seat is worn and showing and a small dime sized spot where it has worn through on the bolster. The passenger seat is in good condition.  The dash is in poor condition. I currently have a dash cover on it which does not look bad. I will also include the hard shell dash cover which I have not put in the car.
Mechanically the car needs very minor attention. Car starts right up just fine. but does have a slightly high idle when car is not to temp. Once the car is to temp it will die at idle. but is not over loading. fires right back up and goes with a slight bump on the ignition. The WUR (Warm Up Regulator) and Cold Start Valve have both been replaced. The car needs the CIS dialed in or check all vacuum lines for leaks. It cruises with plenty of power. Just drove it over 50 miles without a hiccup on the interstate.
Car has been garage/barn kept according to the previous owner. The time it spent in his barn it was under a waterproof car cover. I am the third owner of the car we believe. and it currently is garage kept as well. The last owner owned it for over 20 years. and used it as a weekend toy on occasion. I am in the process of cleaning the car completely up and will be doing some other odds and ends on it. I did just replace the front windshield seal and windshield needed to be replaced for a small chip in it that would have cracked with the pressure placed on it with the new seal. The car will need some very minor TLC to be perfect but is a great start as is.
This car is a great start for someone looking for a 911. Although it is not perfect. it is still very nice. I have been driving it more lately to get it out of the garage. I need to make room in the garage and am looking to pass on a great car to someone.
The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if it sells locally. I have this car VERY competitively priced. Don't miss out.
