1968 Ford Mustang. You are looking at a beautiful rust-free 1968 California Ford Mustang that has been tastefully modified and upgraded where it counts. The vehicle was taken down to bare metal and the body was repaired/replaced where it was needed to make it a solid platform for this build. Subtle changes were made to improve the look of the vehicle and make it more sleek like shaved drip rails and shaved side markers. The floor boards were lowered giving occupants more head room. Sparco racing seats keep you in your place as you carve the canyon or accelerate up to freeway speeds. A center mounted E-brake gives this Mustang a modern look in the cockpit along with the Dakota Digital Gauges. More aggressive changes were made to enhance the driving experience and bring the suspension up to date like tubular upper and lower control arms, bearing plates and the "Shelby Mod." Respectable power is made through a 351C and a fun-to-shift 5 speed manual transmission. The aftermarket hydraulic clutch makes gear changes effortlessly as the vehicle reaches freeway speeds before you know it. Stopping is handled by a 2012 Mustang 4 wheel disc brake set up. Out back the Ford 9" rear end handles all the torque of the spirited 351C. Extensive suspension modification and other upgrades will be listed below. My friend that restores classic mustangs stated "This is one of the best riding and handling classic Mustang I have ever driven!" Check out the well thought out list of upgrades to see how this was achieved. This car was built with the intent to drive and keep in the family for generations to come, but plans have changed and the focus is now on a new business venture. Please check out the link to the Walk-around/driving video that my friend made for me. Restoration pictures available upon request. Receipts available upon the sale. Please contact me with any questions. An in person inspection is welcomed. Take care and thank you for looking.                                                       Walk around, Undercarriage and Driving Video!!                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXngOvTxya0&t=1s                       (my apologies for the cooling fan noise and wind noise. I was told that this Mustang has over 70k into it right now. Note that some little bits will need to be sorted out (nothing to keep you from driving it) like installing the rest of the glass (if wanted) and the glove box. The stereo has some feedback with engine running. Probable a poor ground in the stereo. Paint has some small chips that need touch up. I have ran out of time on this project. Thanks you for looking.
