This 1989 G50 911 3. 2 Carrera started its life as one of the
very last 3. 2 Carreras ever produced. By the end of production. br/>Porsche had perfected it in almost every way and this
is one such example. An excellent. well cared
for. dry-use-only. original UK righthand drive car with full
history. It was converted this year to 1973 Carrera RS
specification body retaining all the qualities underneath of its
later brother. With a fully galvanised body shell. it has undergone
a full professional backdate by 911 Rennsport Ltd this summer. It
has been converted using a genuine steel Porsche 1973 long bonnet. br/>brand new steel early wings. lightweight RS front and rear bumpers
and the all-important correct ducktail. Mechanically. all the
suspension has been stripped cleaned and reset to fast road/track
settings with full laser geometry. The engine being the
bullet-proof 3. 2 litre Carrera has been fully checked and declared
to be in tiptop condition and completely dry underneath. The
gearbox is the late G50 unit which is in perfect condition as
expected along with a later hydraulic clutch.

Having also had a full body restoration. it has been finished in
a rare and striking flannel grey with the correct colour India red
decals and India red genuine Fuchs alloy wheels (7" front and 8"
rear). Brand new lights have been fitted. front and rear. with
chrome surrounds and metal chrome horn grills. Door handles have
been stripped and triple chrome plated. front and rear screens have
been replaced with the correct slightly smaller early ones with
polished inserts. To finish off the look. the door frames and
window trims have all been polished to match along with a correct
period single Durant mirror. The underside of the car is in the
same condition as the top being correctly anti-stonechipped and
sprayed in body colour. The interior has also been tastefully
backdated with the correct 'salt n pepper' lightweight Perlon
carpet set. Brand new RSR basket-weave bucket seats. period Momo
Prototipo steering wheel and correct lightweight RS specification
door cards with electric windows have also been retained.

It could certainly be said that this is a 1973 Carrera RS
perfected for everyday use!
