About this vehicleThis 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4.6 is a restored vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows.Seller's NotesI own a dealership helping my customer sell this beautiful car. All statements are his.Vehicle Details

It's with regret, however, the time has come to sell our 57 Chevy Bel Air hardtop coupe fuelie because of health and age.

Unable to care for it as it should be, driven as it should be, and enjoyed as it should be.

Owned her for six years and appreciated all the positive comments and admiring looks she has brought.

During the six years I have kept her up, replaced the clutch and pressure plate, had the valves, guides, and seals all redone, distributor rebuilt, installed a fuel shut off valve at the “spider” under the fuel air pendulum, replaced the headliner, had the fuel injection unit rebuilt by Chuck Smith of Valley Center, CA, and replaced the steering wheel with a correct 57 Bel Air wheel.

My wife bought the car from the previous owner who had it for forty years and did the majority of the restoration work.

Which includes, an engine swap to a1965 283 bored .30 over and balanced, and an L-79 327-350 horse comp cam with roller rocker arms.

Trans is a stock 3 speed “on the tree” with overdrive. Rear end has 4:11 gears. The wheels are American Racing 200S 15 inch diameter.

Fuel system is a Rochester fuel injection 7014520 rebuilt in Jan 2018. This unit is period correct for the car built in late February early March 1957 as VIN # verifies.

The distributor is a Delco Remy 905 dual point ignition with mechanical advance.

Exhaust is aluminized with turbo mufflers.

Braking system is disc front and drum rear with dual master cylinder with 8 inch booster.

Suspension is OEM front and rear with KYB gas shocks and sway bars front and rear.

A/C is Air-tique with defroster and heat.

All gauges are factory and electric clock works.

All body panels are original factory and moldings are original stainless steel.

Interior is original black/silver pattern and has been replaced using a CARS product.

The paint is a Mercedes Benz color from 73-91 “Astral Silver” poly clear coat.

This car was built at the GM plant in Oakland, CA and has never been wrecked and is rust free.

There is still factory red oxide paint to be seen on the undercarriage.

Much has been done to keep this 57 in show-room condition and it shows well.

The history of the car as I was told; built in Oakland, CA, originally sold and stayed in San Jose, CA, bought and moved to Merced, CA where it stayed for 40 years, then we bought it and moved it to Las Vegas, NV, then to Mesquite, NV and now to Rigby, ID. It is not driven in winter months and is kept garaged and covered.
