1992 (J) Mercedes Benz 190E 1.8 MANUAL the ultimate Baby Benz

This is a stunning low mileage example (87k) of the classic 190E - a car I regard as a “proper Mercedes” - the last Mercedes' built, perhaps that could be said to be truly worthy of the three pointed star on the bonnet. These 80s designed 190E were built by engineers, not accountants and marketing men, and this shows in the bank vault build quality and sheer feeling of near indestructibility. In fact, a lot of these 190E in good condition fetch a fair bit more money than some of the C-class models that replaced them, simply because of the fact that many prefer the more original shape, as well as superior build quality. The example is particularly special as it has had just two owners from new and has covered a low mileage of just 87'000 miles (yes that's 3,000 per year!). I must also add to this that it is in a condition these are very hard to find. 

History 

The car was first registered on 12th of March 1992 and it was purchased by SHELL petroleum company. Its only had 3 previous owners. It comes with all original booklets and even the original key tags. 

Its got FULL service history 20 service stamps! last service was done 500 miles ago.

It comes with folder full of receipts the i believe the car has been garaged through most of its life and it shows last owner was elderly gentleman that only used the car on the weekends and between last 9 years he's only covered just over 9,000 miles.

Bodywork

Beautiful condition for a car of its age.Its had a 2 stage detail so the paintwork really is stunning, the car has also been sealed using quartz sealant to give it that 18 month protection that it deserves. 

Interior

The interior is in virtually as new condition and looks very much like it would have done the day it came out of the factory. The cloth seats and carpets are in lovely order with no signs of wear - it looks new like. The car has had a full interior wet vac and steam clean to give it that showroom feel with no smells. Also the display for the outside temperature works and that's a rare thing. I have checked all the electrics and everything works as it should. It's got the amber clocks lovely spec and ultimate 90's retro vibe.

It comes with summer floor matts that are beige to match the interior that are in mint condition, and also it comes with a black winter set for the wet months.

Tyres

Original Mercedes steel wheels that have had a refurb, come with the original factory wheel trims 3 of them are mint like condition one of them has a slight scuff. 

Summary

I would say that in this condition and paint combination, and the condition of the interior these are very hard to find in the sub 10k category of modern classic. This example can be a daily that is appreciating in value on a year to year basis or it can be stored, the only way is up as most of these are complete rust buckets. 

It's a real head turner and will be a perfect addition to any collection, as these examples in manual are getting harder and harder to source.
