I've had this old gal for a good few years and realise I'll never get around to sorting it...I have the V5 with my name in it, registered as a 1974 build. MOT and Tax free. I should have the last UK test from around 2017. It's not turned a wheel since apart from the journey to here. The van has always been dry-stored since I've had it.However, as we all do I've 'done a good few quid' on it. New brakes, brake pipes, king pins, bearings, joints and tyres where needed, split-charging system. This spent much of it's life in Malta so is very sound underneath. Personally I like the modified front grill but I know of a new old stock original one available locally if need be. I think it would be nice to illuminate the Ford badge a-la Wolseley but then I might just be showing my age.Fitted with a low-mileage Mercedes OM601 2 litre diesel lump with auto box that runs very well. These engines have been known to achieve 500,000 miles plus so I doubt if you'll have any problems for donkeys years. These are also very economical and were known as the 'silent diesel' so much quieter than most of the era that managed very well without E.C.U's.The windows seem to be lightly tinted, curtains are fitted.Standard springs and wheels have been fitted. I have a brand-new set of full cover wheel trims from the period that of course fit the standard wheels and front and rear aluminium 'show plates' included as seen in one of the images. The interior and dash need tidying up. This will need collecting from the Isle of Man or I could dry store it for at least the rest of this year provided it's paid for in full.I've no idea what it's worth and had to come up with a figure, feel free to try me but daft offers will not be responded too. Coming under the heading of a 'Vunerable Old Fogey' I'd be happy to deliver it within say 150 miles or meet you at Liverpool or Heysham Docks but only once this old 'flu malarky' is done with which is who knows when in 2022....Payment via £GBP Bank Transfer,  Bitcoin or Etherium. Now then, here's an update. It took most of this morning to get my sliding garage door to open as the runners had bunged up with all sorts of stuff. I soon realised how time flies, first time they've been opened in just over 6 years! Popped a charged battery on and bingo, started first time. I left the old gal running for at least and hour, no leaks or overheating, as expected from one of the best engines that Mercedes ever made. The fourth image and beyond I took this afternoon. There's a fold-up-back-to-the-wall-bed that I used once for the 2015 Ford Transit rally the window sticker for which I found under the seat whilst clearing out bits and bobs.. Images show the bed extended, then as a bench and from there if you need the full floor area of the van it folds up to the wall. She's got curtains all round for privacy so ideal to attend weekend shows etc and or for those virile young-uns out there she's also a nice dry bedroom on wheels. There are dimming led warm-light strips front and rear. Please note that this engine will run on perfectly legit biofuels and it if the price is right I'll fill it to the brim for you.
