1996 Alfa electric truck vehicle alternitave fuel like golf cart ute nev street

This is a 1996 Alfa prototype electric postal vehicle.  I had to list it as a 1980 because ebay would not accept the 17 didget VIN for some reason.  This truck is titled in ohio and licenced  for street use as a commercial vehicle since it is in our company name.  We bought it in 05 as a project to learn a little more about electric vehicles.  It had set for 10 years while the previous owner used it as a tax write off so the batteries were dead flat.  we installed 20 new 6 volt deep cycle golf cart batteries to get the 120DC volts required to run the truck.  It has a direct drive forward reverse transmission much like a golf cart.  A top speed of about 40 mph and a range that can get as high as 40 miles.  We drove it back and forth to work in the summer a little bit and around town to lunch and the parts store things like that but only put about 200 miles on it.  Its a handy little truck if you dont have far to go and are in town where traffic is always around 35mph.  
We added the "electric blue" custom paint to get rid of the bare white color on the fiberglass body.  The truck runs and drives well. comes with a charger and is ready to go.  I will be posting a few photos and videos this week to help show how it looks and drives.
