1969 CHEVELLE...NICE RED PAINT....GOOD BLACK INTERIOR....V8....AUTOMATIC for sale

SHORT DISCRIPTION: For your consideration I'm selling a good looking 1969 Chevelle. The paint is very presentable. it is red and the body is solid. The black interior is good. the V8 engine runs good. the wipers work. the turn signals. brake lights and headlights work. The Rally wheels look good and the chrome is decent. The car is power steering and the brakes are drums all around.

VIN: 136379k300634 and the VIN plate matches the title. I have a hard clear title in hand.

MIEAGE: 848001 reading today and it may have turned once.

TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand. it does state on title last state of registration was Kentucky  until October of this year.

HISTORY: None that I can document. the title just states that the car was registered  in Newport. Kentucky.

We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring. selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at TennesseeTechnologyCenter here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic. crew chief and instructor in the late 60s. I did spend a year in Vietnam.   I'm Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.   I've been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

 

WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes. I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.

 

MY REAL PRICE IS $14. 00. That's what it takes to buy the car on or off ebay motor. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game. I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.

I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday. I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it. "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week. call in advance to set up a time. "I'm 67 years old and life is more than just cars".

 

Sorry. but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them. I sell my cars anyway.  

 

IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?    The underside looks good. but not sanded smooth and detailed for show.  The frame. supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. The car has no real thick under coating so you can see the floors good. I do see rusty color metal.

 

IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find and the title states none.

 

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I'm a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car. I just fixed a few things.

 

IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? I don't know if it is or not. I did not check the engine casting numbers. the past owner said the engine was a 350 and the emblems say so.

 

 PAINT:    The paint is shinny. the car is straight when you look down the sides. the panel fit is pretty good. the doors close  good. no big dents. I do see 1 small dent or big ding in the passenger fender. it did not brake the paint. a good ding master service could take it out. but we do not have on in this small town. I consider this a nice drive and enjoy quality paint job that looks good enough to enter your local car show. The car is painted red everywhere now. I will not guarantee you it was born red.

 

CHROME:      The chrome and bright work is nice. but not all new. the worst place is behind the rear license plate. it is rusty color.

 

INTERIOR:   No smoke smell. the seat covers are good. the carpet good. the door panels good. the headliner good and the dash pad good. the seat belts are stiff and the overhead ones are green.

 

RADIO: None.

  

UNSERSIDE:    Solid. but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show.

 

GLASS:    The side glasses roll up and down good and look good. the windshield good with 1 super faint wiper mark.

 

ENGINE:    Engine runs very good. nbsp;it has no real bad leaks. no knocks or pings. The carburater is a 2V Rochester. The past owner said it was a 350. the decals say 350. but I really don't know. I did not run casting numbers. The engine is a good one no matter what the size is.

 

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  Good used condition.

 

TRANSMISSION:   It shifts good with no slip.

 

REAR-END:     It has no bearing noises. no growls. its a good highway gearing.

 

BRAKES:  Drums all around and not power.

 

STEERING:   The cars drives very good. it is power steering.

 

WHEELS AND TIRES:      Rally wheels that are in nice condition. the tires are not new. but have good tread.

 

LIGHTS:     They work. turn signals work. headlights work. tail lights work. brake lights work. dome light not working.

 

GUAGES:   Gas gauge works and the others are in a pod under dash and work.

 

WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! 

 

 

 

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit?    I think the doors fit and open very good. the hood and trunk fit good for the year.

 

WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home. I just test drive them and drive them some around town. but I do think this car would drive anywhere.

 

DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!

 

 

 

WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects.

I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer. please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards. this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable. you might get a good one. but lots of them do not impress me at all. they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking. but I think you should come look yourself.   I don't like paid inspectors. I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear. don't hit the buy now button and then inspect. come inspect first. I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!

BOTTOM LINE:    My price is really $14. 00. I am firm and asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science. ask a price and come down. but I don't like that game. I have sold every car I have ever tried to. so I'm not motivated to be bargained down.
