AS THE HERITAGE CERTIFICATE SAYS "ONE OF THE EARLIEST MINIS IN EXISTENCE! THIS CAR IS FOR SALE SO IF YOU ARE GENUINE AND WOULD LIKE TO OWN THIS BEAUTY PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.      The car is now being used as a daily drive covering up to 40 miles a day. Original Car Details:-Chassis No 112Engine No 1183Specification RHD Home Market, De LuxeColour Farina GreyBuild Date 15 May 1959Dispatch Date 21 August 1959Date Of First Registration 31 August 1959Dealer Moir & Baxter Ltd EdinburghEquipment Heater4 Owners on the V5Old Mot's bills and receipts for powder coating of the wheels and recommissioning in 2011  My Austin Seven has been in my care for around six years Recent work includes:-Dynamo rebuilt, new regulator and water pump, new fan belt and the radiator re cored with a correct pattern core, I have kept the original steel water pump and original regulatorIt shows no signs of rust or blisters its solid, it polishes up well, like glass in fact and that shows just how good it is underneath the paint, 26 years on and its still excellent, the only welding I can see is in the boot on the floor, (the battery box could do with replacing) excellent subframes its a very good strong solid car:-It retains many old features such asFull front panel, no drain holes in the gutters, Early seat fixings, Riveted Wheels, Single leading shoe Drum brakes, glass REPRODUCTION washer bottle (not fitted), steel suspension trumpets, straight gearstick, bump locks, no seatbelts, floor start button, sliding windows with chrome catches, Original engine (thin tail oil fed crank) Original Gearbox, it drives very well and everything works. The car is old and so there is oil around the engine bay and dirt here and there, it smells old inside, with a lovely patina to the seats, its no concourse car, its used. The material on the seats is "wrong" and the boot lid is double skinned so period improvements could be made if you so wish. I do have the correct boot lid that just needs painting!.FOR THE NEXT BIT PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURE NUMBER 12If your in to minis you will know as with most early 59 minis they all have there own story, some have been exported to japan, some raced and some been chopped in to convertibles, even number one (AOK) in the pictures has had its roof, wings etc etc replaced or more, as my pictures show it with a full sunroof that it now seems to not have?????????. So has it been re-shelled, I believe so or had a new roof or ????. I believe many Works Rally Cars have had multiple shell changes also. Number 112 is no different, (numbers started at 100) way back in 1995 when it was way less valuable the owner decided to sell the number plate and re-shell (perfectly legal before 1998) the car its heritage certificate shows the original colour as grey, he found a shell very close to the original in build date in red and this is how the car stands today, I traced the number plate, I have yet to approach the owner but I have reason to think they may sell it. THE CAR WAS PAINTED IN 1995, A VERY NICE GARAGE CONTACTED ME TO CONFIRM THE CAR NEEDED NO OTHER BODY REPAIR. I HAVE THE CORRESPONDANCE AND THE GARAGE GAVE ME PICTURES OF IT AS A ROLLING SHELL DELIVERED TO THEM !, IT HAS BEEN BUILT FROM  THE ORIGINAL1959 PARTS, SUBFRAMES, ENGINE, GEARBOX, SUSPENSION, STEERING, GEAR CHANGE, WHEELS, BRAKES ETC ETC ARE ALL GENUINE, ONLY THE BASIC SHELL WAS CHANGED.WOULD YOU RATHER DRIVE A PATCHED TOGETHER BODGE UP? OR A FACTORY STRAIGHT SHELL, I KNOW WHAT I WOULD DRIVE AND HERE IT IS. My car has a continuous history, i have contact details and correspondence from all previous owners, apart from the sadly deceased. This will be passed to the next owner.  No 108 was original apart from the drivers door, but what could you do with it if you restore it, its NO LONGER original, every panel needed work repair or replacement so is it just a £40k rusty ornament?, time will tell..............  I will export worldwide at your cost Cash or Bank transfer or both on collection  Thank You for taking the time to read my advert, All the very best!
