When it comes to high optioned Broncos, not many can compete with this one. Built to a high quality standard, this Bronco preforms even better than it looks. This build began with a clean & well optioned California delivered '77 Bronco. It is a nice, rust free example. The Calypso Coral paint under the 3M matte grey wrap is in good condition with a nice shine. New highly polished belt moldings, light bezels & light lenses were just installed. The top is in good condition with a fresh re paint in a semi-gloss black paint with new weatherstrip and freshly tinted windows. This Bronco presents very well and draws constant attention & compliments. The interior is in very nice condition. High quality seats with weather resistant upholstery are very comfortable ad look great. The front seats recline and have adjustable head rests. The rear seat folds flat & tumbles forward. Nicely trimmed out with carpet in the front foot wells keeps noise & heat out. The dash has been stripped & repainted and has billet handles. The console is a 'Tuffy Box' that houses a quality Alpine bluetooth equipped CD player and a nice storage area that are all easily locked for safety when the top is off. The glove box was replaced with a Tuffy Box as well that is lockable (a virtual mini-safe) and the perfect size for anything from your wallet to a side arm.Typically we just mention what kind of roll bar a Bronco has and leave it at that. This roll bar is nothing short of amazing. With complete protections from nearly any angle this is about as safe as you can make a vehicle. The front passengers have grab handles, overhead bars and most importantly have cross bar behind the seat for protection from a rear end collision. Take a look at the photos, this is a very remarkable cage. The front seats have 3 point retractable seat belts and the rear seat has true shoulder harnesses.Under the hood the original 302 2 barrel carbureted was tossed out in favor of a late model Fuel Injected, Roller Cam 351 Windsor. Several upgrades have been made including a performance camshaft, full MSD Ignition, GT40 Intake Manifold, Ceramic Coated Headers, Performance Exhaust and MORE! The fuel injection is Factory For EEC-IV Mass Air unit. These systems are extremely reliable and use Ford production parts so they are easily serviced and parts are available and in stock at nearly any parts store. This engine should produce around 350 Horsepower and 420 ft/lbs of torque. The engine has a serpentine belt system that is A/C ready with the bracket already installed and an upgraded cooling system. The old & weak C4 automatic transmission has been replaced with a strong AOD (automatic over-drive) transmission. New transmission cooler as well. This AOD has been fitted with an electric overdrive switch so the overdrive is only engaged when needed. Highway cruising is easy & comfortable with the flip of a switch. For braking the factory '77 power disc brakes worked great. However, to make the Bronco work like a late model, a Wilwood Hydro-Boost unit has been added. This unit works of the hydraulic pressure from the power steering. The pedal pressure required to stop is minimal & very predicable, and it stops quickly. For those of you interested in a capable off-road Bronco this part is for you. The front radius arms were replaced with 'Long Arm' units from Cage. These arms offer greater suspension travel AND correct the front end geometry. Heavy Duty Rancho shocks with reservoirs provide the proper travel and suspension dampening. The steering linkage has been completely replaced with high-end heim links & DOM tubing from Wild Horses. The track bar & mounting brackets have been upgraded with a Wild Horses kit as well. This Bronco drives easily and tracks well. The front Dana 44 axle has been upgraded with stronger axles and an ARB Air Locker. This unit allows normal use of the front axle in an 'open' arrangement providing power to one wheel. With the flip of a switch the front end is 'Locked' and both axles are then driven. This is a very expensive & desirable option. The Heavy Duty 9" rear axle has a Detroit style locker and heavy duty axles. There is simply so much to talk about in this Bronco I have had to leave many cool options out.
