1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Coupe Hardtop with Leather Interior

Up for sale is this quintessential mid century American luxury car. This 1959 Lincoln Mark IV Continental Coupe Hard Top. Only 1,703 two door hardtop Continentals were produced in 1959. Quite a rare car.

I have been the owner since February 2017 and was told that I bought it from the original owner who was 95 years old at the time of my purchase (son-in law sold it to me). I'd rather not sell but since I lost my job I need to support my family so this car has to be sold.

Car is not perfect, it does run and drive though it has an engine oil leak (oil sending unit) and transmission leak from the pan. Low miles of 2,847 but the speedometer hasn't worked since I bought it. Drove it to several car shows in the area and always had compliments. Built with leather interior. Other known problems or issues, driver rear cover over the wheel and tire seem to be a different shade of gold, hood has several spots that the paint is chipping away, passenger side of car has several spots of chipping or missing paint from squeezing in an enclosed car hauler, rear trunk area has some bubbling near the passenger fin, driver interior carpet area on left side is coming off slightly but still attached, cracks in the steering wheel, plastic cover is cracked on front bench seat, gas pedal cover has come off see interior pictures, one of the two mufflers has a hole in it, front sway bar is missing, driver side mirror is attached but broken, horn doesn't work on the steering wheel but horn switcth added under that dash.

Dirty marks on driver side of bench seat is just on the plastic cover not on the actual leather.

This car is fully loaded with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning( missing pieces) but wired for A/C, 6-way Power Seat (is intermittent) , Power Windows (worked when I bought the car but all but the rear passengers stopped working, I think it just needs contact cleaning), Power Locks, Radio (also has an aftermarket radio in the glove box hooked up), Trip Odometer, Fuel Warning Light, Automatic Headlamp Dimmer (never used unsure if it works). Continental UNI-FRAME Body.

Original 430ci V8 engine backed by an Automatic Transmission (both were rebuilt in 2010). Misplaced paperwork on that but will send to new buyer when found. In 2010 it also had new brakes, gas tank, paint, upholstery, chrome, carpet and weather-stripping.

Recent service includes new front wheel cylinders with brake hoses. New external fuel pump. Please see numerous photos for more details, or inquire.
