This model is arguably the most desirable and rare W124 ever to be produced and the specification reads like a Mercedes enthusiast's wish list. I am pleased to present the opportunity to take ownership of a 1992 Mercedes W124 300ce-24v with 5 speed automatic gearbox, air conditioning, electric memory seats and wood steering wheel finished in Midnight Blue (904U) over Beige fabric (065A).

According to howmanyleft.co.uk, there are just 15 300ce-24 ‘s left on the road in the UK so this is an extremely rare opportunity to take ownership of an exceptionally rare car.

Now, without wasting anymore time, here are the good and bad points…

The good:

-Will have a new 12 month MOT this week-Just undergone a 7 hour professional detail and the paintwork now looks absolutely exceptional. The deep shine is evident in the provided photos however, this car must be seen in person to be fully appreciated-Interior is exceptional with just the upper section of the wood steering wheel showing some signs of wear due to almost 30 years of sun exposure. I would not bother addressing this though as it is hardly noticeable. The rest of the wood in the car is exceptional. Carpets look like new and so do the seats-Car runs perfectly. No smoke on start-up, no strange sounds coming from the engine, gearbox or suspension and the car has exhibited impeccable reliability in my ownership-Tyres and brakes have plenty of wear left on them-Recent new battery, fuses and OVP relay as all were worn (the ovp relay was causing a battery drain which is now fixed)-No rust present on the car to my knowledge-Engine bay is bone-dry. Not a single sign of oil leaking at any point during this car's life-Genuine low miles (121k) and 5 owners

The bad:

-Central air vents recently stopped working. After doing a quick search, it seems this is a common issue and may be caused by worn vacuum pods although this has not bothered my enough to warrant addressing just yet. The side air vents work perfectly fine-Whining sound coming from the differential under heavy acceleration. You could repair it however, used differentials can be bought for around £70-100 so probably better off replacing-Passenger seat belt extender/presenter is not working. Again, a common issue. The motor works however, the arm gets stuck. Not sure what the cause is

*Note, the images show the driver-side electric seat control buttons to be missing however, I have now replaced them with new parts and the controls now look like new

I have tried to provide all the good and bad points that I can think of but please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Good afternoon, what a beautiful car, is it still available? I see you’ve done some good work on it, when did you acquire it? I’ve been looking for one in this colour/fabric combo for a while. This is a personal enquiry by the way, despite the email address (not trade).

Kind regards
Sam
