This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette is a stellar Fuel Injected example that has been restored in stunning fashion. The 1964 Corvette was the second iteration of the C2 Corvettes and featured a one-piece rear window. The second generation Corvettes underwent a major restyling, paving the way for all Corvettes in future generations. The C2 Corvettes were more aerodynamic and sportier-looking front end, and the new look Corvettes were highly acclaimed in their day as well as today. What makes this particular Sting Ray so special is that it features a Numbers Matching L84 327 Cubic Inch Fuel Injected V8 engine that pushed out 375 horsepower in its day. The Fuel Injected Corvette, otherwise known as the "Fuelie," was the most rare engine option with only 1,325 Corvettes produced with the L84 Fuelie. The L84 Corvettes were touted as going from 0-60 MPH in a snappy 6.3 seconds and 0-100 MPH 14.7 seconds. The Numbers Matching 327 V8 is mated up to a 4 Speed Manual Transmission that makes this Corvette a really fun and sport car to drive. With Dual Exhaust, this Corvette has great muscle car sound. The 375 HP powerplant drives the rear wheels through the positraction rear end, which keeps the rubber to the pavement. The exterior on this 64 Corvette has been refinished in a beautiful Satin Silver paint, that is the original color for this 940 coded Corvette. This stunning 'Vette sits on 4 Kelsey-Hayes Knock Off Wheels with 6.70x15 Bias Ply Blackwall tires which give this Chevy a nice classic Corvette look and it comes with a matching spare complete with a Kelsey-Hayes Knock Off as well. The chrome and brightwork on this Corvette are in excellent, show-worthy condition. The interior on this '64 Corvette is spectacular. The Black Vinyl Bucket Seats are in excellent shape and are correct for this particular example. The black carpeting and door panels look stellar. The steering wheel and dash all appear to be like new, just like when this sting ray was sold new at V.V. Cooke Chevrolet in Louisville, Kentucky. The instrument cluster is equipped with a 160 MPH Speedometer, Tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and amp gauge. If you're looking for a powerful, fun-to-drive, show winner this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie is the car for you. Give us a call today!
