Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 52 votes
Porsche 951/944 turbo with less than 70k on motor (126,826 on chassis and transmission), damage to passenger front, extra transmission with oil cooler, great project car!

Not a show car/garage queen. This car was meant to be converted to a street legal track-purposed 944turbo. The car is currently stationary due to a physical obstruction to the passenger front tire (fender damage - see picture). It otherwise runs & drives. Prior to my purchase, the first owner seized the engine. I purchased a replacement motor from a donor '88 944 turbo with 67k miles which was thoroughly gone over before installing. The chassis & transmission have 126,826 miles.

Previous modifications (does not include normal maintenance items):

Porsche 968 style mirrors- wires are not connected

Rear seat deletion - rear seats do not come with the car

Door pockets removed - I may still have these and if so, will come with the car

Lightweight carpet set

Lightweight flywheel

Shift boot replacement & cap

New windshield

Extras included:

Spare 5-speed transmission and oil cooler (69K miles)

What will need repair or work will depend on your use of the vehicle:

Front bumper and passenger front damage

Superficial rust (small and easily repairable) in passenger and driver doorway, Rear bumper - see pictures

Rear bumper guard (right)

Headliner needs replacement

Sunroof does not work - I have not had this diagnosed so I am unsure whether it is a simple or complex problem

Needs windshield wiper motors

Needs new battery

Wire to rear window defroster severed and needs repair

Tires have good tread however, manufacturing date was "4016" - these should be replaced for safety and state inspection

Accident information: The car was placed on a dealership lot as a consignment sale. There was an accident in the nearby intersection and my car was collateral damage due to the involved parties losing control of their vehicles. The dealership did not notify me of the damage in a timely manner and refused to pay for repairs. Hence, the superficial rust. To my untrained eye, damage appears cosmetic and not frame/chassis related. However, buyer should consider inspection prior to bidding.

I have done my best to describe the vehicle in its current state. There is normal wear and tear due to the age of this vehicle. Please do your research prior to bidding. I do recommend having the car inspected prior to bidding if there are any concerns on the buyer's behalf. Clear Title. No warranties. All sales are final and the car is sold AS IS. Buyer to arrange pick up or shipping. Pick up within 7 days of auction end. Certified check preferred. Please contact me with any questions.

PLEASE NOTE: The last 2 pictures are of the car in its former glory and not current condition. This is just a preview of its potential.
