Jaguar XJ8 Auto Sovereign 2007 LWB with LPG Bi-Fuel 117650 Super 305 BHP Rare for sale
Current customer rating: (65 votes ) based onShowroom condition it is not but stunningly beautiful (not immaculate) and rare condition /LPG petrol - a few minor blemishes etc. At 60 P per litre for LPG gas - very economical to drive. the rear parking sensors only beep when placed in reverse- front parking sensors work perfectly. Touch screen Sat Nav, aircon, audio, heating, reversing camera etc. are perfect. We have spent a lot on the car since including 4 new tyres.
Drives perfectly- feels like new- the power is amazing with over 300 BHP.
Some history including for a LPG service since our ownership.
Air conditioning - Climate control keeping the interior very warm in winter- icy cold in summer
Listed as Alternative fuel - Gas Bi-fuel on Log Book so cheaper road tax and congestion zone exemptible- I believe.
The previous owner had private plates- hence history of plate change on HPI check I paid for prior to my purchase.
4 new tyres since our ownership. I also had LPG system serviced and new parts and filters/hoses/clips etc. all replaced. I had the Multi-media system checked and replaced Amplifier head unit- so that system including DVD in back, sound etc. all working perfectly. Had the headlights checked and replaced Xenon Pack replaced with a new ones plus new Xenon head light bulbs replaced. Have receipts for most of the work done. Since our ownership about £5000 spent with lots of receipts- includes brakes and discs, suspension repairs, new alternator recently- too much to list. I have probably missed listing lots of the special features but just to mention the interior - the heated electric seats, the wood grain interior etc. all like new. Generally minimal wear. As are the carpets.
At the last MOT I did all advisories-amounting to about £600 I think but since last MOT there has been about £4000 on various repairs. I hope that clarifies things.
I have missed listing lots of the special features but just to mention the interior - the heated electric seats, the wood grain interior etc. all like new. Generally minimal wear. As are the carpets. The glove box does have some damage but nothing major. We did a HPI check when we first bought the car over 2 years ago and it seems light damage in 2011,which was professionally CATD repaired repaired and as previous owner had Private number plates- HPI shows change of plate number.Only selling as my wife thinks its too powerful and has not driven it- and my daughter cannot drive it as the BHP power is too high for a new driver-so we will buy a smaller car so we can all use it.The glovebox scuff can be seen in the photos- not bad at all. Our car is LEZ and ULEZ compliant-so in October when the zoning changes/increases you will be able to drive free in London LEZ and ULEZ.

This is an absolutely beautiful car. Very rare Top spec. Power mirrors- adjustable electronic steering and pedals- elect rear blind- privacy rear windows- too much to list- highest spec long wheel base- so much room.
Below is a little historical info--With less spec (ours has front and rear Multi-media which was an extra ) than our one- they sold for about £72,000 in 2007 but 80% built were exported to the US.
Value for money isn't something normally associated with luxury cars, but Jaguar has made a definite effort to keep the extra cost of the stretched XJ to a minimum. At £1,750 more than the standard model, the extra centimetres are cheap compared to the Mercedes S-Class L, which is £2,720 more than the shorter model, and Audi's lengthened A8, which adds £3,370 to the bill.
For most UK buyers, the standard XJ is large enough, so it's no surprise that 80 per cent of the LWB versions are bound for the USA. However, if you want more character than other stretched luxury cars can offer, Jaguar's flagship will be a welcome alternative. Key specs
