Porsche 928 s, 4.7 V8 (300 bhp)

Guards red, manual gearbox, 65,000 miles.

HPI clear.

The car has been part of my collection since 2016 and is being offered for sale to free up storage space and money for a house project.

The history of the car shows it was sold by AFN Guildford on the 1st of January 1983, being used regularly for the first 5 years of its life before going into storage in 1987 with 36,800 miles recorded.

There it stayed for 14 years, coming back out in 2001 and being regularly used again for the next 4 years, once more going back into storage in 2005 with around 63,000 miles on the clock and some years only going for its mot and back.

Re-emerging in January 2010 the 4th owner emigrated to Italy and took the 928 with him, (documents included) the car returning to England with a new owner in October of the same year, remaining with him until 2016 when I acquired it.

The car was in stunning condition when I bought it, however there was fading to the front wing and a small dent in the tailgate, (about the size of a 50p piece) working in an approved bodyshop and being bit of a perfectionist I set about dismantling the car for a full respray (I have a folder of photos documenting the work)

The car was painted in guards red and finished in the expensive glasurit scratch resistant lacquer and re-assembled by me using genuine new parts where necessary.

The work was done in my spare time over the course of 2 years, upon completion I sent the car to a trusted mechanic friend where he completed the following work with invoices for,

Timing belt, water pump plus gasket, major service including, new battery, oil, air, fuel filters, spark plugs, roller belts, roller tensioner, temp sensor.

The condition of the car must be seen to be believed, regularly attending Porsche shows I have yet to see one in the condition of this 928. It really does look like a brand new 40 year old car inside and out.

Perhaps the only downside is the original radio has been swapped for an aftermarket CD player. This didn't bother me so decided to leave it..

CPC 620Y will be sold with a fresh mot and of course peace of mind knowing the belts were changed within the last 2 months.

There is also a folder of receipts totalling many thousands of pounds for various work, including a power steering rack rebuild at 63,000 miles.

It's well known a manual transmission with low mileage is the holy grail of the 928.

Being hard to value I'm confident there can't be many in this condition and am asking for £27,000, although I am willing to listen to (sensible) offers.
