I am pleased to offer this beautiful 1969 Jaguar E-Type XKE Series II 4.2 Liter Roadster.  This regency red roadster was purchased by the current owner in 2018.  Since purchase, the owner's main motivation was to improve this notoriously unreliable car to be reliable and drivable every day in the heat of Tucson, Arizona.  As such, the owner embarked on a series of maintenance and tasteful/reliable mods to improve the car for every day use. 

VIN # is J691R8037 and body # is 4R 2124.  Mileage shows 2,800 since the odometer was rebuilt but actual mileage is unknown.

Tasteful upgrades, mods and maintenance include:




- New 15"x 6" 72 spoke wire wheels with correct chrome knock-on caps

- Silicon seal back of new wheels
- New tires including spare (5)
- New exhaust system

- New ZEUS vented front brake upgrade and conversion
- New upgraded aluminum radiator with high performance fans, antifreeze

- New convertible top latches
- Restoration of Interior; repair and dye seats, trim pieces, instrument bezels, knobs, grab bar, etc...
- New inertial retractable seat belts
- Car color sanded and polished, buffed, with final detailing & ceramic coating

- New brake master cylinder with reaction valve
- New wheel knock off tool
- Replaced pinion seal, trailing arm bushings
- Drained, filled & cleaned fuel system
- Upgrade ignition kit, new spark plugs, wire set, distributer cap, ignition coil

- Rebuilt speedometer
- New ignition switch
- New center arm rest - black leather
- New mud shield rubbers
- New heater duct seal, heater legend plate, choke legend plate
- New data plate with all correct serial numbers stamped
- Flushed brake fluid & new fluid
- New valve cover gaskets

- New brake light switch
- Installed hidden radio antenna
- New windscreen seal and new wiper blades
- All new door seals including sill plate, and post seals
- Misc. mechanical and electrical fixes

Owner notes that the clock does not work.  Owner also notes that the AC system is being rebuilt and will be completed at the time of sale.
