Known as a 1964 1/2 because of certain characteristics unique to the first Mustangs made. It underwent a concourse rotisserie restoration by Glazier's Mustang Barn in the early 2000s. It won an AACA Senior award, several MCA gold awards and preservation awards. It still looks beautiful, great colors too. I drove this car on my day off, it cruised and functioned so smoothly.

EXTERIOR: No rust or damage, it is straight. Repainted original Vintage Burgundy. 20 years later the paint is still smooth and glossy. Every piece of chrome and trim has been replaced including bumpers, grill, bezels, emblems, door handles, taillights, gas cap etc. The stainless around the windshield is polished, the windshield is new. Door jambs are painted real nice, all the weather strips and window seals were replaced. It has a bkack power convertible top in excellent condition. The original hubcaps were upgraded with new chrome GT wheels on dual redline radial tires.

INTERIOR: Completely restored inside. Beautiful palomino color that compliments the burgundy. The carpets were replaced, deluxe seat belts in front. All the cushions, upholstery, door panels, armrests, window cranks and handles were replaced. The entire dash area was restored- bezels, knobs, dash pad. It has the "rally pack" gauges, both the tachometer and clock work. It has a retro stereo with kick panel speakers. The steering wheel has some wear. New visors and mirror.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It was restored to factory specs right down to the reproduction hoses and clamps. It is a 260 V8 motor that runs as quiet as a mouse in slippers. All the correct components including the manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner assembly. It even has the right distributor and plug wires. It features power steering. It a generator instead of an alternator which is unique to a 64 1/2. The engine bay is smooth clean metal painted very nicely.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The metal in the trunk is spotless. It's been completely repainted a smooth and glossy vintage burgundy color. It has a new reproduction trunk mat and matching tire cover. The spare is a reproduction tire on a restored rim. It has the jack too. The well liner, weather strip and sticker were replaced. There's also a real nice quality, soft car cover included.

UNDERSIDE: This car was restored to factory specs. Underneath every component was replaced or restored to factory specs. Clean, rust free floors. Repainted as the factory would of, there is burgundy overspray and undercoat applied in certain areas. It has the correct single exhaust with transverse muffler. All the suspension has been replaced and or rebuilt. Fuel system was replaced. Brake system was completely restored. Looking up at the motor it's clean, has the correct canister fuel filter. Correct auto transmission and restored rear end.

This is a high quality Mustang. It was professionally restored by a Mustang shop to concourse condition and very well cared for since!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
