Motodrome are pleased to offer this really nice looking and driving example of the iconic BMW M535i manual (E28) finished in Arctic Blue metallic (quite rare I think – I've had plenty of these over the years but only one before in this colour)  with full  pearl leather M-tech interior. which is in superb shape.

 

fully equipped with 5-speed manual gearbox. limited slip diff. M-tech suspension. . electric glass sunroof and windows M-tech sports full leather interior. sunblind. central locking. trip computer. and externally headlamp wash/wipe and the full M-tech bodykit. Also fitted with BMW alloys. and  Blaupunkt stereo with electric aerial.

 

This one has only had 2 owners in the past 16 years. and has recently been recommissioned after seeing very little use in the past 10 years following a repaint in the original colour.  The odometer reading of 189000 miles is supported by a nice file of history inc the original service book with 31 stamps up to 184000m. old MOT's back to 1993. and a sheaf of invoices including lots of BMW main dealer bills. The head gasket and valve stem seals have been replaced.

 

Comes with MOT to June 2014 (no advisories) and 6 months warranty on sale. .

 

on test on arrival  it performed very well indeed 

 

Further detail:

The body and paintwork on this one look rather smart. with excellent front wings . No major dents (it's very straight down the sides) but obviously expect minor stonechips. scuffs and scratches etc commensurate with it's age and mileage. but overall it's rather good. All I can really criticise is: the OSF towing eye cover is missing. a crack in the paint and minor dink on the leading edge of the bonnet. the NS sill cover is a little loose and has a slight scuff to it's front edge. there's a tiny bit of paint loss to the OSR valance. a couple of parking dinks to the offside doors. a big chip to the top of the OSF wing. a very slight scuff to the OSF bumper corner  and a little bubbling on the top front edge of the OSF door. It's been debadged and the external locks have been removed from both front doors (presumably done when it was repainted)  - it has got remote central locking but the plipper seems a bit hit and miss. so I just use the key in the bootlock  See the video below for a full appraisal of the bodywork

Interior – superb condition  all round with excellent leather. unsplit dashtop. good carpets and headlining etc. Nothing to criticise here. and it really belies the mileage    See the video below for a full appraisal of the interior



 

 

 

Started on the button and performed superbly on  test - really belies it's mileage as there's no cam rattle etc on start up.  didn't display any signs of misfiring. hesitancy. or overheating etc (although the temp gauge isn't working-see below) . and first class performance all round. No untoward clunking etc or dramas. All I can criticise is neither the rev counter nor temp gauge are working - both failing together is a common fault on E28's due to dash batteries/dead circuit boards. and possibly a very slight blow from one of the centre exhaust joints.  .
