For sale is an absolutely beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray roadster. This car is an original 327 4 speed car and began life as a fuelie. This car has all of the tell tale signs of being an original fuelie including a 6,500 RPM redline tachometer, three holes drilled in the driver's side inner fender where the S pipe air intake used to mount along with the air inlet hole in the core support as shown below. The original L84 327 and fuel injection were removed many years ago under previous ownership, and the car is now fitted with a date code correct, freshly rebuilt L76 327. The rebuild features a set of .030 hypereutectic pistons, Clevite bearings throughout, a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft and a full valve job/cylinder head rebuild with hardened valve seats and fresh valve guides and seals. The current owner of the car has owned it for the past 7 years and had acquired the car from the previous owner whose ownership dated back to the early 1970s.

The body-on restoration of this Corvette took place over approximately 5 years and consisted of a full repaint in the original Riverside Red color (923 code). The original bumpers were re-chromed and all of the stainless trim was peened and polished. All of the weatherstripping was replaced. A brand new fuel tank and fuel tank sending unit have also been installed. The current owner has driven the car approximately 20 miles since the completion of this Corvette.

The interior of this car is very nice and largely original aside from the carpet kit and driver's side seat upholstery. The dash is entirely free of any splitting or cracking and all of the factory gauges remain in the car. The factory wood sport steering wheel does not have any splitting. The white convertible top has been replaced and the original hard top is included in the sale and is pictured below.

The exterior of this car is absolutely beautiful and has a very deep shine. Given the minimal mileage since completion, this car does not have one stone chip. There is one very minor paint chip in the convertible top tonneau cover near the top of the driver's door, but no blemishes otherwise. The exterior trim and chrome on this car are flawless. The wheels are authentic knock-offs and the tires are like new.
