This is a truck that the owner's thoroughly enjoyed using. They took this truck wherever they wanted to go. They also kept it in excellent shape and their main focus was on reliability. It has an NOS crate flathead motor!

EXTERIOR: Restored very nicely. Rust free body with fiberglass fenders. Everything is straight, there's no signs of damage or rust. The paint is not pristine but it's smooth, glossy and shows really well for an old truck. Weather strips are replaced. The chrome and stainless trim has been replaced. It rolls on radial tires with original style wheels that have new trim. Upgraded electric wipers.

INTERIOR: The inside of the cab was all repainted. The seat has been reupholstered, it has the headliner kit. New rubber mat down on the floor. Seat belts were installed, it has an interior light, a more accurate gauge cluster is down below the dash. It has a Bluetooth stereo too.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a New Old Stock French flathead 255 V-8 motor. The Ford Flathead was considered one of the top 20 motors of the 20th century. The French continued manufacturing them and using in their military vehicles until the 1990s. This is a French motor was was still new, never used in a crate. Since it was installed 15,000 miles ago it has run perfectly. It runs 100 pounds of oil pressure when it's cold. It was upgraded to a 12-volt system with an alternator. A big aluminum radiator and shroud keeps it running cool.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is refinished beautifully. The sides are smooth, straight metal. Down on the floor is refinished wood with polished stainless steel strips and hardware. There's a plastic tote with miscellaneous extra parts and manuals. There is also a car cover included.

UNDERSIDE: Rebuilt front axle, new kingpins, rebuilt steering box. The 3-speed transmission was rebuilt, it has the NOS clutch that was part of the engine. The rear end has been apart and inspected. Bearings and seals are replaced. Upgraded with new power brakes, disc in the front. The shocks have been replaced. It has a dual exhaust system. A full size spare is under the truck. The chassis components are all very clean, the underbody is clean solid metal. The nuts, bolts and hardware have mostly been replaced.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
