This 1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe Roadster with a Rumble Seat is a beautifully restored convertible that was owned by the same local collector for the past 35+ years. Introduced in December of 1934 at the New York Auto Show, the 1935 Fords received high acclaim for their magnificent style and the Ford V8 Flathead motors became the ultimate desire for anybody looking for some serious speed. Ford's theme in 1935 was "Greater Beauty, Greater Comfort, and Greater Safety," and most early V8 Ford collectors would have to agree. The '35 Fords had a more cutting and sleeker appearance with their narrower grilles and increased windshield angles. The Ford bodies in 1935 were also longer, wider, and curvier giving them a more updated look for the times. Ford produced just 4,896 Rumble Seat Deluxe Roadsters, making this particular car a highly desirable and rare example of an early Ford V8 car. This particular '35 Ford is equipped with Ford's famous 221 Cubic Inch Flathead V8 with a Stromberg 2 Barrel Carburetor that pushed out 85 horsepower in its day. The Flatty V8 is mated up to 3 speed manual transmission with a floor mounted shifter, giving this vintage Ford a truly classic feel. For a 1935 Ford, this Model 48 is well-optioned classic. The front and rear chrome bumpers are both outfitted with bumper guards. A rear mounted luggage rack is also a nice option so that you can take your belongings with you on longer or overnight cruises. This 1935 Ford Rumble Seat Roadster sits on 4 Wide Whitewall Bias-Ply tires that are wrapped around bright green painted wire wheels, which give this V8 Ford a nice classic look. The tan canvas top is manually operated and gives the car nice contrast going down the road. The Bright Apple Green exterior paint gives this classic Ford a stunning exterior look. The brown vinyl bench seat, along with the rear Rumble seat are in fantastic shape. The dash, door panels, and banjo steering wheel are also in superb condition. The dash is equipped with a 100 MPH speedometer, oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, amp gauge, temperature gauge, and AM radio. Whether you're looking for your first classic car or you have a garage full of V8 Fords, this 1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe Roadster with a Rumble Seat is the car for you. Give us a call today!
