Every one loves a classic truck. I mean, you can take one out to fill the gas tank and you'll have 10 photo requests, 5 people giving you a thumbs-up, and 4 more wanting to share the story about the old truck someone in the family had back in the day. That's what I love about them. So imagine what happens when you take a classic truck, give it an INCREDIBLE custom patina finish, and then totally modernize it for everyday driving? PEOPLE GO CRAZY!!!! That is the effect that Blue Jean has on anyone that sees her, and why you should NOT buy her if you don't like attention.

Originally found inside a dry barn up in Arkansas a few years ago, this incredible machine was built by Randy Sanford. The project started by stripping the truck down to the last nut and washer, and deciding what to keep, and what to modernize. The body was in great condition, so it was set aside until it was time for finishing. The frame was cleaned, de-tabbed, and then fit with all the correct mounts for the new 302 short block and AOD transmission. Then, all of the suspension bits were added, including a Mustang II front end with tubular A-Arms, rack and pinion steering, four bar rear with 3.55 Traction-Lock POSI rear end, and QA1 adjustable coil-overs at all four corners. Once everything was fit and set up, it was all disassembled so the frame could get a coat of chassis black before final assembly.

A new 302ci short block was sourced, and a mild-built engine was hand-assembled with the goal being a cross between excellent daily-driver capability, and long-haul reliability. A FORD Motorsports CAM, Edelbrock heads and aluminum intake, BBK stainless steel headers with custom MagnaFlow exhaust, and a FAST EZ-EFI Fuel Injection system help that happen!

Once the chassis was complete, it was time to take care of the body. The original blue was so close to a pair of vintage 501 Levi's, the decision was made to let most of it shine through, and work around it to create a PERFECT patina that brings to mind your favorite pair of jeans. EVERYWHERE you take it, the truck breaks necks, and people can't stop taking pictures of it. A perfect stance from the QA1's, along with a set of custom offset REV 18 and 20 inch deep lip rims really helps the curb appeal, and when people look in the bed to see the custom made and individually hand-cut and finished wood, they about lose there minds!

Inside, the stock styling was retained save for a few minor upgrades. A relocated fuel tank means WAY more room for you and two passengers in the cab. Dolphin gauges are fit into the factory cluster area, and has a tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, oil pressure, water temp, and volts. A Flaming River tilt column is topped with a banjo steering wheel wrapped in creme leather that matches the bench seat. A functional heater keeps you warm while you drive a truck this cool, and the carpeting lifts on the passenger side to reveal the hidden battery compartment. Glass is in clean condition all around, and the chrome and bright work are clean and nice all around, giving just enough newness to the overall appearance to make the patina really stand out.

Thanks to the FAST EFI, it starts with a turn of the key, and is ready to roll whenever you are. Snick the AOD into gear, and you are off and rolling with only the mild shift kit reminding you of the V8 power underfoot. Smash the GO pedal, and the truck comes alive, laying all of its power down hard and fast! IT has more than enough oomph for parking lot shenanigans, but really shines as a daily driver/ long-hauler, which it has proven itself at time and time again. We drove it about an hour and a half down the interstate when we bought it, and never once did it do anything to make you feel concerned or nervous. I would hop in it right now and deliver it three states away without blinking an eye if you paid me enough! LOL!

In short, this is a REALLY clean example of a well-done, quality built truck that will get you more attention and notoriety than Rudy Giuliani. If you have been searching for one, your search is over! CALL JJ TODAY AT 941-286-0889 TO MAKE IT YOURS!
