-Grigio Argento (Silver-Grey) over Nero Cogolo (Black with Red seat inserts), Red carpeting, Restored, 4.4 Liter V12 engine, 5-speed manual, Matching Numbers, Factory Air Conditioning, Borrani wheels, Documented by Massini, Exceptional throughout.
The 365 GTC/4 has been called the civilized brother to the Daytona due to its power steering, more civilized road manners around town and probably the best air condition system of the vintage Ferraris. Produced for only two years, only 505 examples were manufactured for the world markets.
This 365 GTC/4 was the 95th produced of the total GTC/4 production run and was built in December of 1971. Originally delivered to Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, CT in early 1972, the GTC/4 was sold to its first owner in California, who owned the car for several decades.
Having always been properly serviced and maintained throughout its life, this GTC/4 received a restoration in 2015 while keeping an emphasis on originality. Anything and everything were addressed as needed with all mechanicals gone through. The car was disassembled, taken down to bare metal and correctly painted in its original color of Grigio Argento. Painted by Ferrari of Orange County, CA, they used Glasurit Urethane paint, solvent-based, and clear coat. The 365 retains the correct Becker Mexico radio and factory gauges.
With superb previous long-term collector ownerships, this GTC/4 has been well kept and cared at all times and will offer its new owner enjoyment with no surprises. The gearbox and clutch are excellent, the body gaps are excellent, the structure is excellent with no rust and this GTC/4 has never sustained any accident damage.
One of the best driving and most usable of the 1970s vintage Ferrari models, not to mention probably if not certainly, one of the best sounding V12 Ferraris of all time. Recent serviced with GTO Engineering of Los Angeles, this GTC/4 is complete with books, tools, factory jack, hammer, wheel tool, restoration and service documents and ownership history including Massini report.
