Manufactured March 1998, lighter than a 993 these early 3.4 models are frankly the very best offering of the 996. Far from a mis-step this is a historic vehicle and needs to be preserved, the purest example of Porsche original intentions for the 911 millenial transition.

Everything that should be mechanical is on this edition presented in the iconic bullet silver and without the later IMS issues.

46k genuine miles with history supporting, has been in my ownership and always garaged since 2018.

My intention was to keep her for the long haul but I have just relocated to the Canary Islands and she recently sat for 6 months.

The interior is In exceptional condition and fully supports the low mileage. Equally the body work is tip top with only a few minor blemishes.

She proudly still wears her orange indicators, the investments I have made in her have been carefully selected I wanted her to remain a completely authentic example. Especially important due to the low mileage.

1. Nine Excellence Giro setup and complete replacement of bushes/trackrods etc in 2019 alongside new adjustable Suspension. Transformed the ride and handling.

*Did not install polys kept Porsche standard

2. Full stainless steel back to heads exhaust system with cross over 200cell cats.

3. Low temp thermostat installed

4. Short shift gear change fitted, standard is just laborishly long

5. RSS engine mounts fitted

She stuns, and you only have to look at her to realise these cars are coming into their own and now outshining the later Gen 2 996's

In actuallity the gen 2 996's have a problem, they lack any historic design reference point in Porsches history. It's these early gen 1's that are going to blow up in value in the next few years.

No silly offers please

For those asking, I forgot to mention I removed the center interior cd holder. I believe I still have it in storage, but I wanted to get some carpet made to replace it then the dashboard harks back to the air cooled and gives your knee more space.
