An absolutely immaculate early R129 500SL with just 25k miles from new, supported by a full Mercedes-Benz service history.

Finished in Brilliant Silver with black leather and hood. High specification including automatic climate control, memory seats, heated seats, power-fold mirrors, airbags and headlamp wash/wipe.
Unmarked original hardtop with the car too.

Supplied new by MB Sendai Higashi in Japan in September 1993, this SL appears to have had just one owner from new until 2017 when it was imported into the UK as all services were carried out by two MB dealerships in the Sendai region of Japan.
We supplied the car in 2017 to its last owners who have looked after the car vigilantly with all work carried out by Mercedes-Benz of Edinburgh.

Despite having covered just 25,885 miles from new, this 500SL has received a remarkable 17 services.
In the last 1000 miles, MB Edinburgh have replaced all the fluids and filters, including the transmission, differential and coolant, plus spark plugs fuel filter and air filters.
The roof hydraulic fluid has been flushed and replaced, the battery replaced and all tyres replaced with MO specification Bridgestones.
So to say this car has a good service history would be something of an understatement.

As we have come to expect from low mileage, fastidiously maintained Mercedes from Japan, the bodywork and undercarriage is in truly exceptional condition with zero corrosion. The brightwork, notably the radiator grill is superb with none of the tarnishing neglected cars can suffer from.
The hardtop is unmarked and the hood in perfect order and still retains its original hood windows with the MB logo.
The interior is in beautiful condition with no noticeable wear and completely original right down to its dealer-fit stereo. It benefits from two set of over mats; the originals in excellent condition and a set of new ribbed mats.

On the road this 500 drives like a new car, as you might expect with just 25k miles and thorough maintenance. Fast, refined and free from squeaks and rattles, it has a tautness that's been lost from most of these cars today.

In summary, an exceptional and original early R129 500SL with incredibly low miles and perfectly maintained. One of the best we have seen.
