1998 Mercedes SL600 V12, left hand drive

This is a good example of the rare SL600 V12 R129 which we have taken in part exchange against our Bentley Arnage from a very successful Greek gentleman who owns a large international law firm.

The gentleman has a collection of classic vehicles this being the gentleman's holiday car and has spent the last 4 years in Cyprus at the gentleman's holiday home. Currently Cyprus registered however we have paid the UK import duty and would happily register the car for the buyer if the car is to remain in the UK. Initially purchased by the gentleman in Florida in 2017 with 56633 miles, the car has had 3 services since purchase despite very little use, the service invoices detailing work carried out at 57070, 57144 and 57636 miles. Sadly the earlier history is not with the car however the Florida sales invoice states that the mileage was guaranteed and looking around the car we have no reason to question this. The car also benefits from a recent new roof mechanism. The soft top is looking a little tired around the edges so we will be happy to replace this upon sale.

On the road the car is fault free and drives exceptionally well, the 6 litre V12 engine is an absolute gem being silky smooth and offering tremendous performance whilst remaining totally effortless at all times. This engine has 394bhp on tap and is commonly regarded as the best engine Mercedes ever made, apparently they had fewer problems with this engine than any other. This model also benefits from Mercedes active air suspension with adaptive damping which transforms the car, the 600 is a very different prospect to the lesser SL models and very highly sought, this car would have been close to £100k new !

Finished in black with two tone black and dark grey leather upholstery and half wooden steering wheel, specification of the period to include digital climate control air conditioning, electric seats, heated seats, electric steering column adjustment, central locking, alarm, immobiliser, electric windows, electric mirrors, heated mirrors, cruise control, premium stereo with CD player, HID headlamps, multiple front and side airbags, electronic stability/traction control, 18 inch AMG alloy wheels etc. The factory hard top and wind deflector are with the car however the hard top stand is not present.

Currently we have only one key however we are hoping the owner can furnish the second key prior to sale.

This is a superb example of the rare and desirable SL600, being left hand drive the car would be ideal for cruising down to the holiday home on the continent.

Supplied with original owners manuals, radio code etc. together with an interesting history folder.

The car will be inspected and prepared by an independent specialist and supplied with a new MOT with no advisory notices.
