SWS Classic Present this lovely Mercedes-Benz 380 SEC 4.0 V8.Please go to our website - google SWS International for over 140 photos!This SEC has had only 3 previous keepers from new and a low mileage of 58,216 miles with a lovely period colour scheme.The condition is overall very good throughout, it is un-restored and original. The paintwork presents very well, with some minor stone chiping to the front under bonnet panel, a small pin dent to the top of the off side wing and some minor paint bubbling to the area adjacent to the rear model badge - which is incorrect - it is not a 500 SEC.The trim is very good throughout, no bolster wear or carpet issues, the lower sections of the seats have slightly discoloured but can be easily rectified with feed and die. All the ttrim pieces are in tact and work. All button boxes are good and it just shows that the build quality from Mercedes in the 80's was very good.Mechanically, the engine runs very well and the gearbox changes are smooth and as expected of a Mercedes of this era of build quality. It drives beautifully and is efforltess and extremely comfortable. it last passed it's MOT in March 2021 at 58,204 miles with no advisories after a fail. We can see there has been a rust repair to the off side chassis leg area. This has been done to pass an MOT but could be improved upon - again, photos of this section are on our website. There appears to be no signs of corrosion anywhere else, the chrome trims are not hiding any rust and these could be removed if the new owner desired. There is some rust starting to come through on the off side rear sill to arch section - this is a straight forward repair and has not been picked up on the MOT however it will be a good idea to catch it now. Ther near side has already been repaired to a good standard (photos on the website).Electrically, everything works as it should with some minor work to be completed; the fuel gauge is inoperative and the air conditioning will need a pressure check and re-gas. However all the other gauges are working as are the four windows, the sunroof, electric seats, blaupunkt cassette player and electrically retractable aerial are all perfect. There is no recent service history however the condition speaks for its self. The original book back and service book are present with stamps from it's earlier life, one key. As is the old style and new style V5. Looking at the MOT history and ownership, we believe the mileage to be correct.In summary, this is a lovely looking SEC that can be used and improved upon with very little effort. A real 80's icon and fast appreciating. Although it's not a 500 (we have a 560) you really wouldn't tell a differance.
