On offer is a fantastic car in great condition, this car has been maintained regardless of cost and is a pleasure to drive. It's very reliable and looks fantastic it always gets a lot of appreciation when out and about and is rapidly increasing in value for good reason. This model is fitted with the K-jet mechanical fuel injection and manufactured just before they started building the cars with biodegradable wiring looms which ran from mid 1991 on the 6 cylinder models then across the board from 1992 when the cars switched to electronic fuel injection. These later cars can have electrical issues as the loom degrades, unless the wiring loom has been replaced where as the earlier cars rarely have electrical faults. Everything in this car works as it should including the seat belt butlers the electric windows and electric sunroof operate quickly at matching speeds. It's great driving in the sunshine with all the glass down, the speakers are upgraded to Kenwood and it's fitted with a Sony stereo with CD player Aux input and USB port so you can listen to music in a variety of ways and the sound quality is very good, the original tape deck stereo is included in the sale and is in good working order too.

It has only ever been welded once in a common spot underneath at the rear of the front chassis rail where it meets the floor pan, this area is subject to dirt and gravel hitting it from the front wheels. The corrosion was only slight and has been repaired to the highest standard with the area being cut out and new metal seem welded back in then seem sealed, stone chipped and painted. The underside of the car is clean still retaining factory paint in most areas and the rear sub-frame and mounts which can be prone to rust are in great shape. All suspension arms and bushes are also in great shape with factory paint and no deterioration to the rubber components.

The car has been prepared for sale with a comprehensive service as well as the following work and replacement parts which include new:

It is rolling on 16" reconditioned wheels with nearly new Toyo proxy tires, the set of SL 15" wheels it came with are also included in the sale. It has a lot of paper work with the car including many receipts and old MOT's and a near complete service history along with original owners hand book and the second set of keys. Whoever buys this car will enjoy years of trouble free motoring as long as it's maintained properly it will cover another 160,000 miles without fault and will return plenty of driver satisfaction and appreciation in value.

I have only owned the car for six months but maintained it for the previous owner at no expense so am very familiar with it, I accompanied the last owner when he purchased the car about 3-4 years ago. I can say as someone who currently owns 3 other W124's and have owned others this is the best one I've seen Its a shame to see it go but have to get money together to complete the restoration of my old Mercedes w123 estate, can't keep them all unfortunately.
