SWS Classic Present this lovely Mercedes-Benz 1000 SEC.Please go to our website - google SWS International for over 100 photos!Based on the fabulous 560 5.5 V8, owners were known to order aftermarket conversions from new to their own specifications mainly in Germany and the UK, by a range of tuning companies such as Robert Jankel designs, Styling-Garage and Trasco. These cars are generally known as 1000 Sec cars and badged as such. This 1000 SEC features a special ordered velour/suade interior, white dials and various body styling upgrades including AMG Wheels.The condition is overall excellent throughout, it is un-restored and original. The paintwork is almost unblemished and the factory colour coded underseal remains throughout with no signs of rust. The wheels are ready for light refurbishment and one centre cap is missing.The trim is very good, with some minor corrections to be made, mainly the headlining has some minor sag to the rear and around the sunroof aperture. One wooden trim to the ashtray will require re-fixing. The windscreen has some minor 'whiting' to the near side lower section.Mechanically, the engine runs very well and the gearbox changes are smooth and as expected of a Mercedes of this era of build quality, it last passed it's MOT in September 2020 at 85,384 miles, the only advisories being a minor oil leak and corroded fuel pipe/s. Throughout it's MOT history, it has largly advisory free MOT's.Electrically, everything works as it should with some minor work to be completed; the passenger rear electric window does not move up/down, the ambient outside temperature guage is reading -38 degrees on startup and then disappears. All other gauges work very well and no other faults reported.There is little history as to it's servicing however by word of mouth, the previous owner has spent a considerable amount of money since purchasing from COYS auction house to make sure it is mechaincally spot on. There is however, nearly every MOT from new only missing the first 2 years and for a period when it was in storage from 2008 to 2010. The mileage we believe to be correct. There are several old style log books including it's current and it's original PDI sheet from Mercedes, two keys present, two immobiliser fobs and a professionally fitted dash cam.In summary this is a lovely example of this rare SECin rust free ready to enjoy condition with some very minor improvements that can be administered over time.
