Stunning and highly sought after classic car -tax & mot exempt!

Recently removed from a garage where it has been dry stored since 1994!

It has a V8 petrol engine and automatic gearbox (condition of both unknown)

I acquired it during a recent contents purchase / house clearance - the car is now in my name and I have a new dvla log book for it - ready to be transferred to the winning bidder.

I would seriously love to get to grips with it myself - but I just don't have the time / knowledge or resources to make a start.

I had it recovered from the garage and placed in a safe compound where it has sat for 6 months ish waiting for me to get around to it. I have realised I just don't have the time to deal with it

All I have done since finding it is clean it - put some vintage plates on it and put a new battery on it to see if the lights come on! (They all did!!)

My car knowledge is poor , my mechanical knowledge is poorer than that! - I know that a listing like this will throw up a thousand questions and I will do my best to answer them to the best of my ability - however - here are a few things to understand

This car is a non-runner - I don't know what would need doing to the engine to get it running - the engine under the Bonnet looks to be all there and in reasonable cosmetic condition- but please bear in mind that it will need professional renovation to make it road worthy - it has sat idle for 25 years

This will also be the case for many components of the car - brakes - etc etc

The paint is a fabulous colour - there is some Rusting to the wheel arches and in other places too that will need attention

A serious bidder would probably want to inspect it first - this is recommended and most welcome

The car has a hard top fitted currently (soft top lurks beneath) - 1 of the 5 bolts attaching the hard top on is faulty (due to a cable that is operated by a hand lever in the rear of the car) and as such I haven't been able to remove the hard top to investigate the soft top. This is an easy task for anyone in the know but I was reluctant to make a mistake and damage the body work - the hard top is in good order & the original Mercedes tools to remove the roof are also present.

Some other problems to note - the chrome on the front bumper is peeling away in places , one indicator cover is broken off (I have the cover still, there is a tear in the drivers seat.

I'm an honest seller - as per my feedback history- so rest assured- what I say here is an accurate account of the car.

The good news is that this is a very very cool car it even has the original 1980's executive car phone in it! and I'm sure someone is going to buy it under market value and if you have the skills needed - these cars are soaring in value 15,20,25,30k depending on the level of restoration.

This car does have the benefit of a reasonably low mileage engine (75k approx) and the fact it has been in dry safe storage for a quarter of a century.

It comes with the original ignition key and a second key that operates the boot.

Both keys well worn but do the job.

No road tax & no MOT are serious benefits too.

The photos of the car probably flatter it slightly - it had just had a good clean and polish. I have made sure to photograph problem areas.

Please do not bid or buy if you don't intend to honour it - it's a waste of everyone's time

I expect a £500 deposit within 24hrs of the auction end & full payment for the car within 7 days of auction end - PayPal preferred.

Once you have bought the car - it's down to you to arrange a car transporter and collect it.
