I've owned this E Type for a few years now - it isn't getting used much, was last MOTd in 2017 and hardly any miles since. Clock shows around 57,000 miles.

The car was brought into the UK around 10 years ago via a reputable dealer. It was largely rust free but mechanically in a bit of a tired condition.

£28,500 (receipted) has been spent with Southern Classics in Twickenham to bring the car up to 'on the button' superb mechanical specification to include a full engine, carburettor and gearbox rebuild, full front and rear suspension rebuild, full brake, cooling and ignition system rebuild etc etc. The car has done very few miles since and is still 'running in'. It has upgraded front brake calipers and as new Vredestein Classic tyres.

The Heritage Certificate confirms that the car is matching numbers and that it was finished in very rare special order colour Valentine Beige with a beige interior. The last photo is not of this car but the only photo of an E Type I could find to show this attractive and rare colour. The cars' colour now is kind of a pale yellow on the outside and its original colour underbonnet. Most of the rear cabin trim is still in place showing the original beige trim colour giving the car a fabulous interior / exterior combination.

The car is in drive away and drive anywhere anytime condition mechanically, it drives superbly as you would expect, but it desperately needs repainting and retrimming to bring the whole up to the same standard - all easy things to do, especially with a body shell that is fundamentally rust free and straight. Photos show that the footwells have some surface rust in places but are mainly still showing their original factory sound deadening. You can drive the car now as it is as it is totally reliable and robust, and finish the paint and trim as and if you want.

I can scan and copy the extensive receipts if you are interested to see the detail of the mechanical restoration, just ask. I would go so far as to say that I'm happy to sell the car with a new MOT but you'd have to bear with me while I get the car out of storage and get that done.

A great opportunity for someone to either use the car as - is or take it to the next stage as and when and be rewarded with a very rare car. I've never seen one in this stunning colour combination in the flesh!

The car has huge potential and at this price is easily the lowest cost drive away S1 2 seat coupe on the market.
