1995 Jaguar XJS Convertible Becoming Very Desirable / Valuable

As you can no doubt see from the photos above theselater classic Jaguar XJS Convertibles really are a joy to behold and are almost without question the next Jaguar model to skyrocket.

Top examples are demanding figures well in excess of £30,000+ and I have even seen some on the market toppling £50,000…!!!

With the above in mind, I am totally convinced that this is the perfect opportunity for someone to purchase themselves a beautiful little classic car to drive around in this summer whilst they decide on when (or if) they are going to cash-in on their wise investment.

She has been sparingly usedfor quite a while now but with a quick jump she started on the button and sounded fine. I took her around the farm, and she seemed to drive surprisingly good considering her time spent unused, selecting gears OK and with no obvious funny noises coming from the engine bay. This aside it is still for you to come and examine for yourself as to satisfy yourself as to what you are bidding on as I`m purely just an honest classic car fanatic casting my own unqualified opinions, I am neither a qualified mechanic nor a panel beater. I did notice she can be started in any gear position.

The overall upper bodywork is still in very reasonablygood shape and looksreallyfine from a distance, but on closer inspection you will find both body and paint imperfections. There are a few small/light areas of bubbling andthere are othervarious small dinks/bumps/imperfections here and there around the car but overall, she is fine to look at and presents very well considering her age.

The interior appears all there and functional but could do with a spruce-up if you want her perfect. The wood veneer is shabby and would probably require re-doing.

So, in summary, this wonderful iconic classic Jaguarisstill beautiful to the eye and could be used as-is if so desired with a new MoT (supplied FOC),after this it would be up to you as to how far you would want to go (if at all) with the revamp knowing that a top example of this modelisregularlyadvertised on the market for well over 30k, so no matter how you look at it, this car is a bargain.

She has been sparingly used now for alittle while so a good going over of all running gear, fluids and perishables would most definitely be advisable before returning her back to the open roads…

Pricewise, there is currently an almost identical condition example up for sale on the open market @ £12,000…!!!  I would say from looking around that £15,000 - £30,000 is probably the going price rate depending on condition, previous owners, mileage, etc... So, with this in mind I`m sure at the very low reserve I have set for this desirable little car she will prove a wonderful investment opportunity for someone willing to put a smallamount of effort in to reap potentiallyhuge rewards.

This is a one-off opportunity, so don`t miss out.

Although driving OK on my recent jaunt `around the farm` it is still for you to come and check all items and condition for yourself as all our cars are sold as seen, unchecked and unverified.

I am very keen to sell hence I have set a very realistic and easily achievable reserve.

If you have a genuine interest/offer, and you are prepared to back it up, then I`m sure it could be sorted between you, myself and eBay.

I hope I have covered most things but please feel free to ask as many questions as you like as one would expect this with a rare car like this.

Thank you for looking

PLEASE NOTE:

According to the previous owner all the above is accurate but if certain details are important to you then please verify these details for yourself `before` placing a bid as this is not an option once purchased and must be taken as hearsay as opposed to factual for the purpose of this sale.

All our cars are sold `as-seen` so please feel free to request a viewing `beforehand` to make sure you will be totally happy with your purchase once bought.

Although viewings are always welcomed (and encouraged) on all our vehicles, we do understand that this may not always be possible, especially in this current climate, hence, with this in mind if you have a serious proposition to put towards us `and` you have spoken to us on the phone, then we would be more than happy to provide you with a walk-around video of any of our classic cars. We are not a showroom outlet so we would have to take time out to do this for you, hence, this option is ONLY available to serious potential buyers.

We reserve the right to pursue any non-paying bidder for the full purchase price and/or any loss of earnings or any consequential costs through the County Courts. Although this is an action we do not embark upon lightly, the current rate of non-paying (or even contacting) winning bidders has become so disproportionate that we were forced to seek and take legal advice and action. We currently have a 100% success rate. Please be warned, any property you currently own may be at risk if you fail to complete on your legally binding contract.

Terms and Conditions

Winning bidder to pay £500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal or direct bank transfer within 24 hrs of auction/advert end.

Deposit `MUST` be paid PRIOR to collection!! This request has been put in place purely to deter day-trippers, hagglers, re-negotiators and winning bidders who feel by their winning of the auction just puts them in the privileged position of having first refusal with the `option` to buy!!

Storage of bought vehicles is free for 1 week and then charged @ £15 per day paid in advance.

Due to the very nature of older vehicles and their vulnerability to long term storage, all vehicles are sold under the advisory and assumption that a comprehensive service and/or overhaul of all fluids, brakes, rubbers, running gear, clutches, pipes, mechanicals and electrics could possibly be needed – whether showing a current MOT certificate or not. For this reason it is advised that all vehicles are trailered home as opposed to driven.

This is a live auction meaning all vehicles are here to be viewed and encouraged to be viewed and will be sold to the buyer under the mutually agreed terms at the point of viewing.

Vehicles bought without prior agreement and without being viewed first are sold on a Trade basis. By bidding/winning/agreeing a sale on a vehicle prior to viewing you are agreeing to the following terms;

As this is a live public auction of a second-hand item whereby the buyer is free to come and view, the purchaser (or their agent) is not dealing as a consumer for the purpose of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to any vehicle sold by the seller.

Implied terms as to satisfactory quality/fitness for purpose do not apply to any transaction between the purchaser and the seller.

All components on any vehicle sold by the seller is the purchaser's sole responsibility to make sure are safe to use to the end consumer.

No liability or responsibility is accepted by the seller for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, expense, or any other claim arising from any fault with any component of any vehicle sold to the purchaser.

All descriptions are for identification purposes only and the seller shall not be responsible for errors of description.

All vehicles are sold as seen – spares and/or repair – no returns – no warranties. (Please note our complimentary 14 day Returns Policy)

All vehicles remain the property of Classic Cars & Campers until paid for in full unless otherwise agreed.

Classic Cars & Campers reserve the right to legally pursue any non-paying bidder/purchaser, or anyone else who refuses to adhere to our terms and conditions, if their actions are determined by us to be detrimental to our financial position.

If you have any queries at all concerning any of the above please feel free to contact us for clarification (before bidding/winning).

Returns Policy

All our vehicles are available for viewings and examinations, hence, we are not an online mail order company and are not governed by The Distance Selling Regulation Act.

Notwithstanding the above, all vehicles bought from us that have been viewed prior to purchase, shall have an exception to our standard Terms and Conditions above and will come with a complimentary 14 day return policy unless otherwise mutually agreed on purchase.  All other vehicles are sold as per the terms and conditions laid out above and your offer of purchase is regarded as acceptance of these terms. Client to pay any return cost.
