1984 Ford Escort 1.6i Cabriolet ( XR3i ). Azure blue with grey velour sports upholstery. An absolutely stunning car that has covered just 64,000 milers from new. 80's Fords are now in huge demand especially those with low mileage and in original condition. This Escort has been lovingly cherished and is in fantastic condition. The bodywork is unmarked and the paintwork having a beautiful lustre in what is arguably the best cabriolet colour. All black trims and wheel arch spoilers are in great order and all four wheel inner arches are still showing factory paint. The roof has been replaced and as new. The original clover leaf wheels are unmarked with no kerb damage and all tyres are matching Pirelli with lots of tread. The upholstery shows only minimal wear with no rips or tears. The Escort comes with a fantastic history folder that includes old mot certificates dating back to its first in 1987 which confirm the low mileage of just 64,000 as correct and warranted and lots of bills and invoices dating back many years including the most recent expenditure of over £2,000 for a full service, new clutch and timing belt replacement. Also with the car is the original dealer brochure and plastic wallet with all handbooks and manuals and spare key. Some previous log books complete the comprehensive file. Starting on the button and running and driving exactly as it should you are immediately transferred straight back to the 80's and cannot take the smile off your face and with the fast Ford market as it is we see this as a sound investment.
