Tastefully restored, complete, on-road and ready to enjoy. An unmodified, sought-after 54 year-old.

Original A10 engine, matching numbers.
3-speed column transmission ('Three on the tree + reverse')

Always garaged since restoration, she was used as my daily driver for 2 years before moving her onto club plates (to facilitate buying a second restoration vehicle of course...)
This is the Deluxe model, whose extras include:

light blue tinted glass (all original and in excellent condition)stainless steel window surrounds heater (which works brilliantly, including as an effective demister.)bumper over-riders Front seats were re-covered by award winning hot rod/classics autotrimmer at Dynamic Trimming with an exact match of the rear bench, which is original. Custom replacement parcel shelf was also covered at the same time, along with the dash.

Mechanically maintained by Datsun 1000 specialist Mark Spiekman who, with over 30 years experience, oversaw head gasket replacement (including rocker cover machining) and welch plug replacement (with brass of course - better than original).

Always run on premium unleaded (with correct dose of flash lube). Engine has been properly tuned, starts easily in the cold, and is happy both on the highway at 100 or just cruising.

Boring but important details include: rebuilt radiator, which has had full copper re-core (ie: as new), starter motor (replaced with new) and wheel bearings.

Many thousands have been spent. Absolute head-turner; you can't even drive around the corner to the shops without constant thumbs up and comments.

Odometer: 89,250 miles Whilst being a rare and appreciating collectable, this is not a showroom car.
It is complete, with no further work necessary, but shows some of the signs of a car of this vintage including some minimal guard rust. It has been repainted along the way. Exterior paint is in reasonably good condition, interior paint is original and in immaculate condition.

The recent increase in value of Datsun 1600's and 240Z's has been astounding. I believe this example of a complete Datsun 1000 to be the best available in Australia at this time and offers an inexpensive way to get into the classics market.
