For Sale is a very rare 1988 325ix 5 speed coupe. In 1988 only 56 325ix 5 speed coupes where imported to California and this was the one of those 56 in this color (silver).

Mechanically this car is a 10/10 with all the issues commonly associated with vintage BMW's sorted out. Just passed California smog with flying colors. The car runs amazing!

The engine is a M20 2. 5L 6 cylinder rated at 170hp stock. Car has been ungraded with 1988 BMW 535i fuel injectors. 535i master break cylinder. an external MSD fuel pump. and 1991 E30 plastic bumpers.


Brakes are in great shape. I have all the original tools. manuals. service manuals. and a stack of receipts since 2002. There's a lot. The A/C blows ICE cold. sunroof works great. heated seats work and AWD works perfectly. You are welcome to preform the jack test before buying.

The car has been extremely well maintained with many new parts. The has lived in the high desert all its life and has NO RUST and has never been in an accident. I am the second owner of this car and am the first owner of it outside the family.

New Parts

-Head has been rebuilt with recent valve adjustment.
-Transfer case with viscous coupling dropped and rebuilt within the last 3k
-Driveshafts rebuilt within last 3k
-Timing belt. tensors. all three belts. and engine seals done within last 3k
-Water pump done 3k ago
-Radiator flush @ 3k ago
-Trans fluid change @ 3k ago
-New exhaust sounds amazing. It's throaty but not too loud.
-Power Steering rack was rebuilt 30k ago
-New oil and Bosch filter change with Mobile 1 full synthetic 0w 40 just done. No leaks at all!
-New Complete fuel system clean out in the last 5k
-New MSD external high flow fuel pump 3k ago. Better than the OEM one.
-New BMW 535i 19psi injectors that deliver the same fuel economy.
-New rubber around injectors.
-Tires are almost brand new
-"Frenched out" yellow driving lights and fog lights.
-Aftermarket stereo system with remote usb. cd. aux. Great speakers all around in car.
-New hood and truck badges

This car is ready to go. You need to do nothing to it mechanically.

Cons
-Driver seat and rear bench have cracked
-Car is painted flat flat back and was done by the previous owner. There are no dents or key scratches on the car so it can undergo a simple prep job for paint.
-The dash is cracked like most E30's. however there's only one crack in the center.
-Like most E30's. the odometer stopped working. Mileage is within about 5k of what's on the odometer.
