This is an enthusiast owned R32. I've owned the car a little less than a year. I bought it with the intention of using it as a daily driver. but plans changed and I no longer need it.  Please see my forum post for more details (http://forums. vwvortex. com/showthread. php?8698689-FS-2004-DBP-MK4-R32-76k-miles ).

Before buying the car:
I had a pre-purchase inspection done at Autoworks of Tampa. There were 3 passive error codes 01274 - PASSIVE - AIR FLOW FLAP MOTOR V71 FAULTY. 00532 - PASSIVE - SUPPLY VOLTAGE - SIGNAL TOO LOW. 01304 - PASSIVE - RADIO NO COMMUNICATION. The garage assured me these were nothing to worry about. and said if the car battery went flat at any time. it would cause these to show up (no idea if this is true or not).

In my ownership:
I've not really done much. on the very first day I did a full service. inclusive of haldex (receipt available). I did the flapper mod at the same time. since then I've put roughly 3k miles on it. bought it on 73k now sits at 76k.

What needs to be done:
Nothing immediately. but the brake pads probably have a couple thousand miles left on them. as do the tires.

If I was keeping it what would I do:
When I bought the car there was a leak from the rear offside strut. and the coilovers needed some attention. I planned on changing them or rebuilding them. but since the car wasn't a daily driver in the end. I just never got around to it. but I would suggest either replacing the coilovers or having them rebuilt.
I'd also change the head unit. its just a bit dated. still works fine. has all the basic features. but the face is a bit loose and tends to fall off if you tug at it.
I'd probably replace some of the plastic trim. particularly the center console. it shows some signs of orange peel in a few spots. and I'd definitely respray the hood and front bumper.
I shopped around for a few months before I chose this car. and I've not been disappointed. It's obviously not a brand new car. it's 13 years old. so yes is has some signs of age on the paint work and interior (please see pics and video). So is it a show car. no. but for an every day car it still turns some heads and gets a lot respect around town. and I've got all confidence whoever buys it would inherit a great car.

Car is located in Naples Florida.
