The idea for this automobile was initially drawn on a napkin at a private dinner between Paul Zimmer and Robert Zimmer. Paul Zimmer's son. Paul Zimmer drew what was to become the Golden Spirit Motorcar on a napkin. handed it to Bob Zimmer and told him that not only were they going to build a neo-classic automobile. but that Bob would be responsible for the product development. initial manufacturing set-up. staffing for all functions of the operation and ongoing supervision of Zimmer Motorcars Corporation. The Zimmer Golden Spirit was the flagship of the Zimmer Motorcars Corporation with more than 1. 00 being produced during its production run. The exterior design is pure classic grandeur right out of the Great Gatsby era. handmade to the highest quality possible.

Starting in 1979. Ford offered the Fox-body Mustang as the new basis for Zimmers. The frames were stretched for a longer wheelbase and the bodywork modified. The Mustang VIN was retained as it met all the required US safety features at the time.

The driving experience is what makes these cars so great. You have all the modern conveniences and reliability without compromising the classic look. Competition to this car in 1983 included the Excalibur Series IV Phaeton.

MotoExotica. com is a licensed bonded dealer through the state of Missouri. We have been in business since 1988 selling high end. special interest. pre-owned and exotic vehicles.

With the advent of the Internet and EBay Motors. we have found an avenue that allows us to sell cars we normally purchased for ourselves. We have owned just about every exotic and luxury car known to man; such as ISO Grifo to Jaguar XKE. Lamborghini Countach and Rolls Royce.

In the past. these cars were sold primarily through Hemmings Motor News and through word of mouth. We would normally keep a car and enjoy it personally for 6 – 18 months. However. with listing cars on EBay Motors. our turnover has tremendously increased. Now. the average time we hold a car is 4 – 6 weeks!

With the increase in turnover has come the increased need of fine automobiles. We are constantly looking for exceptional cars and travel the country coast to coast in search of the rare and unusual. We find our cars through individuals like yourselves as well as classic car and dealers auctions. We do not purchase vehicles that we would not be proud to own ourselves.
